The lifespan of the product is short, and the quality is poor
3/5

My heart broke when I realized that I didn't like the afterglow controller and I had to return it. Blue lights and a clear case made the device look cool. It simply did not last. When I bought the first one (Walmart), it would freeze my games after plugging it in. The past has never seen anything like this. I used it for 6 months and then it broke. My luck changed when Wal agreed to completely refund me, and I ended up trying my luck on One of the biggest issues with this controller is *B. *B. - When you press the PS3 button on the controller, the console is not turned on. I find it extremely annoying. Please continue reading. . . After some time, the controller caused pain in my hands due to its hard plastic rather than soft plastic like the original PS3 controller. Please continue reading. . . Although the R2 button was pressed, it kept sticking - no matter which way the button was pressed *The R3 stick broke** Other things I disliked were I had to replace batteries every month, which cost a lot. There's also a red light that flashes if the battery is low, which can be irritating sometimes. This second controller only lasted four months in the end. What is the company's name since it was under warranty, but I didn't want to buy another. In order to get my money back, I demanded a refund. This isn't something that they would do. After a month of trying, Amazon has finally refunded part of the money, and charged a restocking My loss was driven by the fact that there was no controller on the deal.

It was something I wanted to love
3/5

I love how cool and fun this controller is. I was able to connect it to the shield via the USB dongle, but it required that I be really close to it to make it However, there may have been no issue with the distance, but just a compatibility issue that resulted in the screen going black halfway through You are playing. It was a little difficult to understand. The rumble problem was also present. Sadly, I had to return home.

The connection keeps disconnecting, making the device unusable
3/5

The game controller is cool-looking, it's wireless, and it features analog triggers for racing games. But I just couldn't like it. I noticed that after about 30 minutes of use, it would disconnect from its wireless base about once every It took me quite a few minutes to notice that I was sitting too far back, so I sat right next to my PS3 not even 3 feet There was the same problem. If the controller was not facing directly at the PS3 or if the controller was in your lap, it would disconnect. The controller was completely Although the ratings on the store page for this item are pretty good, I was dazzled when I received the product. I'm not sure if the wireless receiver was defective or not. I've just spent a few bucks more and got a 30 dollar controller. The quality control seems much higher and no problems have been reported so far. Rather than doing anything else, I would just do.

It works as it should, though I'm not aware that you can turn the vibration off
5/5

It's great to have such a fun I bought it because it was inexpensive and I wanted something with leds that would match my PC. Once I questioned whether or not to go ahead, but now I have no doubts. Though the manual can use some polish, that could be improved as well. There's not enough explanation of what the blinking patterns for the red lights mean, for example. Also, this controller cannot be turned on or off as far as vibration is concerned. There is a vibrating sound by default and it is on all the time. I tried for a long time to turn it off but I had no luck. My palms sweat easily and a lot during long controller use, which may have contributed to causing the rubber on the back of my Logitech F710 to fail or become smooth. Despite these minor issues, this controller is solid for PC use, feels so comfortable in the hand. The current PDP controller is plastic, so this shouldn't be a problem. Plastic grips aren't as good as metal, but it doesn't react to sweat or liquids, so it's It's proven to keep my Logitech controller cleaner for a longer time and is also easier to clean. My f710 logitech pad has been working just as good and feels just as good - I have had it for more than 3 years and it is still working the left joystick's press down function went finicky, so I bought the F710. In the future, I guess I will stick to PDP and Logitech when it comes to PC and third party.

An excellent replacement for the original This worked well with my PS3
5/5

I had replaced the batteries in the Sony controller, and apparently I screwed up when I shut the case, and those batteries in the Sony are hard to replace. Fresh batteries were put in the Afterglow and I fired it up to test it. It feels great and works Play Station does not boot from this unit, but that is no problem since I know how to start it. The controller would make a great addition to any PS3 player looking for a second controller. The PS4 can't be used with it.

Do not buy it if it does not work
3/5

Make sure you read all the negative reviews first, I made the mistake of By itself, the controller itself is fine, good buttons and triggers, and the joysticks are not as precise as one might expect but they'll manage. The issue with all of this is that you are actually able to use it with the PS3, but 80% of the time it disconnects from it, so you have to wait for it. The problem is not the PS3 system, it has to do with the connection between the USB dongle and the controller being weak and preventing you from playing properly. If you want to play with a controller, I would recommend getting a USB cable and My sincere hope was that this would be the best controller alternative out there, but it turns out that it is I have a problem with my router, and you can't play any games without spending a lot of time and effort trying to make it I would recommend searching for something else, as this was a waste of money.

PlayStation 3 is not supported by this manufacturer
4/5

This is not a rechargeable device. It has an excellent design and is a PS3 cannot be started as easily with the OEM controller as it is with the standard Starting the PS3 at the base must be done manually. As an alternative to a charging cable, this device uses two AA batteries. It also shuts down if not being used after about two minutes. However, the beginning of use is practically instantaneous and works on the spot. Connection to PS3 is achieved with the help of a mini USB dongle. I'd recommend it to people who are willing to live with these problems of the 1st world.
