Questions & Answers

Will this work with the Elite Strap on the Quest 2?

No, I just used my quest 2 and elite strap to test it out. It isn't appropriate. Even when the strap is shrunk to its smallest size, this case still weighs around 1. Too short by 5 inches.

Is there a photo of the straps that are attached to the bottom of the controller?

Quest 2 Case is a great fit, and it's specialized.

An eye mask can be seen in the photos. Is that also included in the case?

It comes with an insert that protects the lenses when they are not in use and blocks out light.

Is this compatible with the Oculus Quest 2 with the Kiwi Brand Elite Strap attached, or must it be removed as with other cases?

My daughter has the Oculus 2 and uses it, so yes, it fits perfectly.

The odor is horrendous and intolerable
3/5

The case itself appears to be solid, well-made, and compact, but the odor is unbearable. br>br>I kept my Oculus Quest 2 in the case for one night, and after 15 minutes of use, I had a headache all day. Is it possible that toxic offgassing is to blame? Until I put the Oculus back on, it didn't appear to be a problem. br>br>I'm hoping this case doesn't leave my Oculus smelling like whatever materials or chemicals were used to make it. If you're willing to take a chance, make sure to air out the case before inserting your Oculus.

This headband is not compatible with the Elite headband
4/5

This case will not fit the occulus 2 with the elite head strap, so keep that in mind. It's a shame I'll have to buy another one, but I'll blame it on myself for not checking first.

Overall, it's a good product, but it's not perfect
4/5

Let's start with the positive. This headset is lightweight, has a powerful processor, 6 degrees of freedom, and a pass through for viewing the environment (it is not mixed reality). It can also be connected to a powerful gaming PC to get the most out of games and virtual reality. The cost has finally reached a point where the average consumer can afford it. If you haven't tried virtual reality before, you will be blown away. Now for the constraints. br>br> The battery life is poor, so either get the elite strap with the battery or invest in a good backup battery, as you'll quickly become frustrated by how quickly the battery drains. For long sessions, the head strap is inconvenient, and a better strap is required. Last but not least, the big blue elephant in the room: in order to use the Quest 2, you must have a VALID (not a fake) Facebook account. As far as I understand it, if you take steps to have your Facebook account deleted, all of the items you purchased will be lost. Facebook is NOT a cool place to be. But that's the way things are. br>br>Overall, this is a fantastic first VR experience, and I'm so glad I waited until now to try it out with the Quest 2. Is it flawless? NO, but if you haven't tried virtual reality before, it will BLOW YOUR MIND. I would suggest this headset because the experiences are well worth the investment. If you're a visual artist or a hobbyist, you'll want to take a look at Tilt Brush. That App has been a lot of fun for me.

Good Construction, Horrible Odor - (Hard Case in Gray) The case is well-made, and it fits my Quest as well as the necessary accessories (charger, cables, etc
3/5

). An external battery may be a tight fit, but it should fit most, and the pouch it comes with is soft and doesn't appear to harm your lenses. br>br>And now for the bad news. This case has a strong chemical odor. The glue underneath the controller straps stinks bad, and there doesn't seem to be any way to get rid of it. I decided to give the case a chance and try to remove the odor on my own because I didn't want to pay the $40 for the official case. I really wish I'd known then what I know now. I tried everything from baking soda to soaking the entire case in vinegar for days and drying it outside, but the odor persisted even after letting it air out for over a week (open, never closed). Overall, I would not recommend this case to anyone because the odor is impossible to remove. This thing stinks, and I don't want your headset to pick up on that smell. If you've heard better things, go with the official case or a different brand.

The Oculus Elite Head Strap is not compatible with this case
3/5

PROS: Excellent appearance; Secure straps, reasonable pricebr>CONS: The case itself is great looking and isn't asking too much at this price point. br>br>Won't fit all Oculus hardware, no paddingbr>br> Anyone planning to use it with a strap other than the one that came with it should expect to remove the Elite strap and adjust it for packing and travel. I'd like it to be a little more cushioned as well. The case does not receive a glowing review because it feels as if I am forcing things inside of me. I intend to return based on my requirements. It could be perfect for you.

This is a good case for people who wear glasses
5/5

I wear glasses and needed a case that would allow me to keep my Quest's glasses extended adapter, and this one works perfectly! To store the adapter, I don't need to add or remove it. I had to return the official branded case because it was too padded to fit properly. br>br> Excellent value for the money; the only minor criticism is that the padding could be a little thicker. I don't think it would be much of a help if it were removed, but it would make travel much more difficult. br>br>Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase. Particularly considering the cost.

The case is a good size and is of good quality
3/5

a revolting odor This case is very well-fitting and appears to be of good quality - Only the smell is to blame for the lower star ratings. It has a foul odor. br>br>I've had it for two months and it still has a chemical odor. I aired it out for weeks, both open and empty, and I still have to leave the case open to let it air out or it gets too hot. If I don't let my oculus air out for a few minutes before using it, I get a headache. br>br>I've tried nearly everything, but it still stinks - To replace it, I'll need to purchase a new case.

BUT, this is a fantastic case
3/5

Only headstraps in the minimum position will fit quest. Except for this one flaw, this case is perfect. br>It's just that it's not big enough. br>The only way to get the quest to fit inside is to set the headstrap to the smallest position for the smallest possible headsize, which means you have to either readjust the headstraps every time, or push the headstrap into the headset, causing the headstrap flaps on both sides to bulge out and fold. This works fine, but I'm sure it'll only be a matter of time before the flaps begin to crack and become damaged or break. My strap has already developed a crack on one side as a result of the way it was folded. br>br>It's a pity, but there's only one. Even with the headstrap set to its largest size, the quest would fit well with 2cm larger dimensions.
