Questions & Answers
Yes, the grip covers are molded into the grips as a single piece. It's possible that mounting the controllers on a charging station won't work (and, in my opinion, won't). It's a little too tight.
Even though Kiwi claims otherwise, some of the experiences are clearly hampered. Especially in the sport of Eleven Table Tennis. These would be fantastic if all of the sensors were properly considered in the design. Facebook engineers put sensors on the controllers for a reason, and blocking any of them will cause tracking to be disrupted in some way. The trigger blocks at least two sensors on each controller in the case of these grips. Your mileage may vary, but feel free to investigate this issue further using these Google grips and even some of the 1 star reviews on this page. br>br>Aside from that fatal flaw, these are fantastic. I'm hoping Kiwi takes care of this in future versions of these grips.
There's a new version out now, and it's a lot bigger.
No, Quest 2 is the only one.

The design of Kiwi should be updated. To begin, let me state that I own the Kiwi controller halo protectors as well as the Elite headstrap. Both products are of excellent quality, and I am very pleased with them. The controller grips, on the other hand, are a huge letdown. This grip blocks at least two sensors on the back of the controller, and while some people argue that the sensors are unimportant or don't cause them any problems, they are there for a reason. br>br>If you look up tracking problems and these grips on the internet, you'll find a video demonstrating a "drifting issue" that can occur while playing Eleven Table Tennis, among other things. These are expensive, and Kiwi appears to have a lot of experience designing Oculus accessories, so it's a shame they didn't think about one of the most important aspects of the controllers (sensor visibility). Especially since they added a battery compartment to the original design. It's the ideal time to slim down the part that grips the controllers' ring, or to make these grips transparent. br>br>On the plus side, these look and fit fantastically. It's a good idea to have a battery cover. Regardless of how great these may look or feel, blocking ANY sensor on the controller makes this unusable for me. br>br>I'm not a huge fan of the grip being rigid, but it still feels very nice; that's a personal choice. br>br>Regardless of how great these may look or feel, blocking ANY sensor on the controller makes this unusable for me. Especially considering the price and the fact that it comes from such a great accessory company. Regardless of the positive reviews, I would advise you to look elsewhere. I decided to go with the VR Cover knuckle grips instead, so I'll have to return these.
The two most forward LEDs will be blocked by these.
I really wish there was a way to protect just the O shape on the controller, because that gets hit a lot. Please revise this so I can protect the entire thing! Or another accessory that is compatible with this to protect the O shaped part!br>br>I could also say that even with the pull tab, pulling out the batteries is still difficult with this! However, it's possible that I'm making a mistake. This is, however, my FAVORITE grip for Quest 2, and I highly recommend it!.
The velcro's tightest setting is insufficient to keep the controllers firmly in my hands. It's still a bit sloppy. These were obviously not made for people with small hands. However, the most serious issue with these grips is their lack of durability. The velcro on the left grip has completely worn out after three months of use. It frequently comes undone in the middle of a Beat Saber match while I'm swinging wildly, resulting in some crucial and hilarious quick recoveries. I was hoping for a lot more from Kiwi's premium grips. br>br>And yes, as other reviewers have noted, they do cover some of the sensors, and I believe this has impacted the sensitivity and timing of registering my movements, which is especially important if you're playing fast-paced games that require accuracy. These aren't the grips you're looking for if you're looking for a good Beat Saber grip.
This was precisely what I was looking for. br>br>I've had a lot of trouble removing the battery covers from my touch controllers. Maybe my battery covers are just a little tighter than most, but I usually have to pry them off with a screwdriver. br>br>The wrist strap is yet another annoyance with the stock controllers. When it's cinched around your wrist, you can't take the controller out of one hand without using the other, and add in the fact that your eyes and ears are covered, and your head is tethered to the desk by a Link cable, and it's easy to see why. br>br>With this cover, KIWI has addressed many of these issues. They actually made an alternate battery cover with a window cut out so you can swap batteries without taking the cover off, then covered the window with a silicone door. The battery cover even has a plastic pull tab that you're supposed to place the battery in front of. You now have a handy tab on which you can pull to remove the battery. br>br>The straps are comfortable and allow you to fully open your grip without the controller moving out of place, making it much easier to throw objects in VR. br>br>However, there are a couple of minor drawbacks: The weight has been increased slightly, and the Menu and Oculus buttons have been made a little more difficult to press. I don't have any issues with either of these, so I give it a five-star rating.
My old AMVR grips were secured to the controller with zip ties because a few of the games we play have very little margin for error. Without a doubt, changing the batteries was a pain because it required cutting the tie wraps and replacing them. I wish these were as snug as those did on the controller. Especially where the knuckle strap is attached to the controller by the top river. I also had to cut the inside rubber of the grips down because it was constantly triggering the inside trigger. I've only had them for about two weeks, but I'm already concerned about their durability. If you play active games like echo vr or similar, you might want to wait for the next version unless you want a looser grip. Otherwise, it's a good product, and the battery door is a good seller here.
I came across these while browsing Amazon for Quest-related items and realized how inconvenient it is to constantly replace batteries in the Quest 2 with my current aftermarket grips. br>br>Had a coupon, so I went ahead and bought it! Next-day delivery is available! Thank you a lot! br>br>It only took a couple of minutes to set up. These are a little smaller than my previous ones, so it took some getting used to at first, but I prefer the grip material to my previous ones. br>I've spent about 6 hours with them so far, and I'm happy to say that I'm going to keep them! For me, it's the battery compartment that makes all the difference! The grip material is far superior to my old ones, and it does not stink. br>These also appear to be a lot cooler than my previous ones. br>If your Quest 2 is in desperate need of new grips, look no further than these bad boys!.
