Questions & Answers

How big is the battery's ampage?

Dude, you have a 3640 mAh battery!

The carrying case was already purchased. Why can't I purchase the elite strap with battery without having to purchase a separate carrying case?

The interior dimensions of the case that comes with the elite strap are larger in order to accommodate the bulkier strap properly. The distances between the hand controllers' edges and the post on top and the charger storage on the bottom are longer.

Is there a slot for the link cable on this battery strap?

This strap is not one of them. According to Oculus's website, this battery and the link cannot be used at the same time, owing to the fact that they both plug into the same port on the headset. I'm not sure if you can get a splitter and use both at the same time.

Is there a backup battery included?

This strap's battery is the headset's backup battery. There isn't a spare battery included. The only way to obtain a replacement battery is to purchase a second strap that includes the battery.

Selected User Reviews For Oculus Quest 2 Elite Strap with Battery and Carrying Case for Enhanced Comfort and Playtime in VR

It's a step up from the $50 version! If you're reading this, you're probably wondering if the extra money is worth it over the $50 strap
5/5

br>br>The short answer is yes, and if you were already planning on purchasing the case, the extra $30 is a no-brainer. br>br>In my case, there were no reviews when I ordered everything, so I purchased both optional straps to compare. br>br>I'm here to tell you that the elite strap (with battery) is superior, possibly even superior. br>br>And I'm not even talking about battery life; I'm talking about comfort. br>br>While the $50 deluxe strap is a significant improvement over last year's quest 1 strap, it still suffers from the weight imbalance caused by having a weight in the front. br>br>The Elite battery strap solves that problem in ways I never imagined were significant! br>The first is, of course, basic convenience - But there are a few things I didn't consider before purchasing, and I'll share them with you:
- You'll need a little less front-to-back tightness/pressure to keep the quest in place due to the balance - This greatly enhances the level of comfortbr> - The quest is much easier to start because of the balance - as the quest 'floats in place' while you tighten the strap and fine-tune your face (the quest wants to slide down as you put it on with the $50 strap)br> - The quest moves a little less on your face during use due to the balance - I was able to play for an extended period of time without having to reload the game. br> - Change the quest. Due to the balance, all of your neck muscles work in a similar manner - This should be less exhausting than a front-heavy quest. br>br>When I first considered the elite strap, I didn't consider the above advantages - I'm including them here in the hopes that they will assist you in making your own decision. br>br>Oh, and there's one more thing I'd like to mention: The quest knows how much power is left in both the internal and external batteries - I thought it was really cool that you could do both reports and surveys. br>br>Also, in case it wasn't clear, you charge the quest as well as the battery at the same time - The battery pack is connected to the quest by a cable that comes with it. The quest is charged by the battery pack - Once both are fully charged, the quest light changes to green. br>br>I hope this review was helpful to you; if it was, please mark it as such!.

Make a financial plan
3/5

This isn't even close to being worthwhile. As a result, this product performs as expected. It's an elite strap (which, in my opinion, is a must) with a handy battery pack that gives you an extra 2 hours of VR time. br>br>There is also a "case" in this. Let's face it: this is a bad situation. It's essentially a sturdy cardboard box with a nice cloth covering. It's a pity about the case. When the entire unit is inside, the zipper is easily caught on the elite strap's usb cord. This will do the trick if you want to keep your quest 2 safe from pets or children. However, if you intend to take it on vacations, I would recommend something else. br>br>This is why I gave it three stars. I use the oculus link to play a lot of games on my computer. When I do this, the battery charges while I'm gaming, though at a very slow rate. So I don't think I'll be able to play for more than 2 hours before connecting it to my computer. So now we have a problem. I had hoped that the back, where the external battery is charged, would serve as a pass-through. in some way So, once the quest is connected, I simply connect my link cable to the back of the elite strap and I'm ready to go. That isn't the case at all. The battery cable must be unhooked from the elite strap, and the link cable must be plugged in on the side as usual. Doesn't seem so bad, does it? But it's just another dangling cord to me, and now I have no choice but to leave. "It's a pity about the case. The elite strap is a fantastic addition. The battery bank, on the other hand, is inconvenient because it only adds 2 hours and has no passcode. through. Anker's 10000 mah battery bank, which adds SIX to SEVEN hours to your battery life, costs only $30. "br>br>I apologize for the long post, but I felt compelled to express my true feelings. This isn't worth it, in my opinion, unless you like the extra weight to counterbalance the front. br>br>Saving money is a good thing to do. Purchase the elite strap and an Anker battery bank, and charge your quest 2 with the included charge cable, which should be sufficient. Congratulations, you've just saved $60 and gained even more free time by playing games on your own.
