This is a more "premium" keyboard than the K8. However, I am enjoying it more than the K8. My K8 is broken, and I would have still wanted to return it if it were not broken. I ordered the C1 and the K8 (the most expensive one) at the same time! A difference of over one inch in height makes a huge difference on the C1. Perhaps it appears a little less significant when compared to On one hand, the C1 is free from a wrist rest, where the K8 needs It may seem as if this is a minor issue, but it has evolved into one of major importance I find that to be a deal breaker. Whenever I use the K8, it's the tallest keyboard I've ever seen. I have nbsp This will be a quick note (I'm a mechanical keyboard baby, so don't take it I was impressed with how solid it is right out of the box, it feels very sturdy, even though the outer body is just Disassembling the case was no problem, there were only 8 screws connecting the bottom plate to the case, with a flip-out flip-up tray on the side of the case You can also choose to get two heights of feet and some solid rubber feet if that is your thing. In the case of the gateron reds, I just stayed with those, and while they're quite scratchy, the experience isn't so bad because of the stabilizers, which come somewhat lubricated. The system wasn't as good as I had hoped, but I think it's a lot better than the logitech/redragon-made In the past, I have had similar drop skylight slate keyboards. Personally, I have lubricated the switches and stabilizers and replaced the old keycaps with new drop skylight slate keycaps, and I'm extremely pleased with the effects. For personal use I created some bad tests of sound, but it would probably be nice to include this. The stabilizers aren't the best, I spent a lot of time struggling with them since it was my first time lubing stabs, so after a while I just wanted a stabilizer I could rely on for a while. In addition, I apologize that the lubed sound test had a noise floor and a noticeable noise gating issue.

Considering that this keyboard only costs $60, this is a great deal. It has a backlight and a detachable USB port Switches that can be changed on the fly - C Only a year ago, you would have had to spend more than $100 on a keyboard to get all these features. For a couple of years now, Keychron has been creating affordable and modifiable keyboards that are durable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing, and now that effort has culminated in this new product. Although it comes in at a budget price, this keyboard is just as good as those from Logitech and Razer. I found it impossible to believe someone would double the price of this keyboard while offering less, unless RGB backlights are a huge deal breaker for you (I could care less about that).

I have nbsp (about 3 weeks after using it) I had a positive experience with the product and went ahead with the foam modification. You ought to put some Neoprene foam (nonconductive) between the board and the plate if you get this board (you're thickness of the neoprene foam (not conductive) should be 1/8 inch. A lot can be done to help by putting something between the plate and PCB. The gateron brown switches that came with it, however, took some adjustment coming from cherry mx blue switches.
