I've had four keyboards, starting with the Razer Blackwidow Chroma, followed by the Corsair Strafe RGB, the Logitech G Pro, and now this one. As I researched about custom keyboards, I thought this would be a really good place to start. You can customize this board a lot more than just the keycaps since the program uses the GK61 PCB from ePathBuy. This PCB will be placed into an entirely different case that I found for this board. haven't tried the hot swappable switch feature yet, but when you buy 70 Gateron Optical switches for less than $20, you get a lot of value. There's nothing good about the software that comes with this keyboard. Perhaps you could figure it out if you could read Chinese, but I still do not know how to change the blue static lights from green to another color (I keep them off any way). For someone like me who is aspiring to build a custom keyboard, I highly recommend this keyboard.
I'll start by saying that I like this keyboard overall, this is my first mechanical keyboard and I plan to keep it for a while. However, I've been to more of the high-end stores than this one, but I still think there are some good options. There is a lot of room for improvement on this keyboard, so it could be perfect. However, that depends on how much you type and how much you play. In addition to the keyboard, the box includes a USB to Type C cable, key popper, switch popper, and information allow the RGB bling to show through and the font is not as bad as some other keycaps, so they are good and displaying the full functionality of the keyboard. However, typing is great, but not as much as it could be because the stabilizers (that I will explain in a moment) are glued to the plate and some keys feel different and are not as smooth as they should be. It could be a problem specific to my case. The features are not as important for gaming as for writing due to the fact that if you were writing you would need almost all of the keys, however the features for gaming are great, such as pressing as many keys as you want at the same time, fast response time, and switches. This is amazing! You just won't believe how rare it is to find a hot swappable 60% RGB Mechanical Keyboard for $50! This keyboard has been in my possession for a couple of weeks now, and I am very pleased When I used this keyboard, the first thing that caught my eye was how smooth the Gateron Optical Switches are. I give this keyboard five stars because of the features that it provides for the price. Its garbage software is far outweighed by the features it offers. Gateron Optical Switches are the only ones that can be hot swapped, and you can get them The build quality of this keyboard is solid as well, despite the backplate being made entirely of plastic, it still feels like a high-quality product. It also comes with feet rests on the back so the keyboard will not move while you are.
It has an excellent build quality for its price. It has the same 61% shape as my existing keyboard, except it has Home, Page up, Page down, Arrows, etc.
The My dear, how I hate that. It's very hard to find the software, and they only provide a single leaflet in the box that provides some sort of indication that the software is compatible with. There are no English translations of everything in the exe" section. All of it is predominantly Chinese. The English is barely adequate to make it, but if you don't know it you will have to learn it. To get a purplish color of Aqua blue without using any effects, I had to 'trick' the software by creating multiple frames of one color, playing around with the settings, saving and hoping that the color stayed. I learned how to apply it once I understood how to do so. The aqua blue had to go, so black it was. As a result, shift does not work anymore. Therefore, I gave up for today and stuck with its default colors (the reason I went with this and not another was because the RGB made my desk look more consistent. )
Buy it for the keyboard, don't get it to customize. If you don't create it yourself, you'll be at the mercy of some poor team of programmers who were given one day.
