So here is my honest review of the board since I bought it because I was curious about its hot swappable feature without expecting to much from it This keyboard comes in a box that says SKYLONG across in silver letters. There is no indication that it is a high-quality keyboard. There are a few accessories included with the board a key cap puller, a switch puller, a braided USB C cable and three key caps (command, options, control). Despite the fact that I would have preferred a pouch or dust cover, this was still an excellent purchase considering the price. There is no problem with the build quality of the keyboard. Despite the fact that this housing is made of plastic, it feels cheap and does not have enough It is also noticeable that the back plate is of inferior quality dampening material might be able to improve it. It is operated with Gateron Black switches, which have 60 grams of actuation force. This is quite a bit more of a force for gaming and typing than Gateron Reds or Browns, so I am not complaining about them. I'm reminded of those YMDK branded keycap sets by the build quality of the keycaps in this set. Their low profile and hollowness make them feel warm to the touch. Only when I pushed and examined some of the keycaps out with close scrutiny was it confirmed that some of them were unfinished. As an aside, I tried using the Matt3o keycap set with this keyboard and it helped improve my There is no overwhelming premium feel to the stabilizers, but they do not feel cheap either. In conclusion, consider that the hot swappable switches are the best feature for this keyboard. The FN keys are all listed in the manual and you'll find typical FN key options that are found on many compact keyboards. For those who are looking for the perfect switch for gaming on a budget or who are on a budget, I think this board is perfect. Now that hot swappable keyboards are becoming more affordable, we are finally in an era where they can be very useful.
It's the Board. It's the best! I was taking a big risk with this purchase. I am not a huge fan of RGB lighting and original optical switches tended to be horrible to me. On top of that, I thought I would miss the arrow and function keys. Is that right? I am truly stunned by this! Thankfully, there was no reason to worry. I love it so much, I might even film it, respring it, and lube it up to make it feel like a TOTL board. I don't miss the arrow keys or function keys at all, with this board you wouldn't even miss them. In addition, the colors of the keys and the feel of the PBT keys are really great! As soon as I got it, I was ecstatic. There's a key edition that somehow manages to be both bold and subdued. A maseati is similar. It's just sleek and you might almost glance over it, but as soon as you get up close, you see that it's at the same time sturdy and superbly functional. In addition to being an office keyboard, this would also be useful as a gaming or battlestation keyboard. Not only that, but the RGB on this image is gorgeous! 1) I'm in love with the RAL. I can't believe this is made for gaming! Hahaha
Using this is AWESOME. It's not a myth that optical switches are significantly faster than mechanical Time input on it (12-6 The speed has been sped up by 20ms. ), but it is actually noticeable, and I love how smooth my movements have become. The difference is like going from a 60Hz monitor to a 144Hz I think this is of ridiculous value. The only reason I bought it is that it is hotswappable and only costs This is insane. It does seem that the red is a bit fast -- I want the springs to have a little more pressure. Since it's hotswappable, there's simply no need to buy anything else to replace it since I can You can swap out these switches with the Blacks. Since the red board is great for gaming and it is also quite inexpensive, I think I will just buy another one in black to use when I am typing most of the time rather than As a last point, I was worried because it was an inexpensive board with hotswap, an inexpensive switch, and an inexpensive cap that the keys would be shaky. Well, it's not at all what I expected. The one I have here is not my first mechanical board (not even close) and this one could be tied for the most well-designed of the lot. There have been seated clicks for me in the past. This is the future! The optical way is the future! This board turned out to be the best purchase I made this year! (I will update this if it fails or I notice something I don't like about it, but right now it's really great and I cannot think of anything negative to say about it.
As always, I am going to start by saying that I usually don't write reviews that are negative. However, because of the two issues with the SK61 I received, I have no other choice. This is a good thing. The board is reasonably priced for a hotswappable board. It includes decent RGB support and in depth downloadable software (though it had quite a learning curve).
Build quality is good for the price.
The board comes with some extra keycaps. As for changing the layout of the PCB slightly, such as splitting spacebars, lubed stabilizers allow for some flexibility. This way, -Br>- I'm not very fond of it- Initially, the board I received seemed to be working okay until two days later when it began registering hits incorrectly. Over the next few days, it only got worse so I decided to look into it. All of the parts looked fine, so I decided to swap some Gateron Blacks with each other on the board and see if it was just a bad switch or not. There persisted the same issue, so I am inclined to think that there might be some initial contact issue or problem that would cause the switch to not fully register when pushed. Furthermore, there is a loose USB port on the board, this is a major issue. That's about it. It should not be more than it is. My choice was a wired only version, so if the type-in doesn't change, it won't be able to work If the c port fails, then that's a problem. Therefore, I hope to find a solution so that I can change my review to what I would really love to give, which would be 5 stars because for its price, it cannot be beat. When things change or if a solution is reached, I'll update this post.
