Nyko Charge Block Pro - Pro Controller Charging Station with patented charge dongle and included Micro-USB/AC Power Cord for Nintendo Switch

br> This was primarily due to the fact that I usually play in handheld mode, but it was also due to the fact that I rarely played for long periods of time until I got Splatoon 2. br> Because I didn't always remember to plug in my controller, I received the Low Battery Life notification a few times. Following that, I began my search for a charging station. br>br>I only found one charging station, which was the Nyko Charge Block. I was hesitant to try it out because there were no reviews at the time. That, and I was under the impression that you had to charge it via the Switch Dock. I had no idea it came with a power supply. While I have several from old phones, I was concerned that they would provide too much or too little power (as I did with a Dual Shock 4). Anyway, I decided to take a chance and was pleasantly surprised to find an AC adapter included. br>br>The dock is light, but it has two rubbery strips underneath it to keep it from moving around. Because the charging pins easily line up with the controller, docking it is a breeze. The micro USB to USB-A cable's length The length of a cable (excluding the plugs) is roughly 46 inches. The USB- The C dongle snaps into place with just the right amount of force, and I don't expect it to come loose anytime soon. The dongle adds a small amount of weight to the top of the controller, but not enough to make it feel unbalanced or uncomfortable. br>br>According to the user manual, fully charging the Pro Controller takes about 6 hours. I'm not sure if that's good or bad, but it doesn't matter to me because the controller now charges when I'm not using it. br>br>Because this is the only Nyko Charging station I own, I haven't tried Daisy chaining it. The one that came with my Dual Shock 4s is from a different company.

If you're curious, they're made of plastic and have a light, cheap feel to them, but they do the job. I was concerned that these chargers would overcharge my controllers, but this is not the case. I'm not sure if technology has improved, but all controller chargers I've purchased in the last few years operate in this way after your controller is fully charged. I know this because of the following: When the DualShock 4 is charging, it emits an orange-colored light. The charger's backlit indicator faded to a yellow hue, but the light indicator remained on (for the PS4 charge block), indicating that power was flowing through the charger but not through the DualShock 4 – bravo. The internal batteries in the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller and the DualShock 4 cannot be replaced, which is why this is so important. Unless you want to rip open your controllers and buy aftermarket controller batteries, if you kill the charge cycle in these game controllers (aka kill the battery, so it holds little to no charge), you're out of luck – just buy a new controller and charger. br>br>I'm deducting a star because these feel cheap, and they're huge, clunky plastic pieces. It isn't necessary for plastic to have a cheap feel. They could have been smaller, sturdier, and had a more texturized feel to them. It's not like you'll be picking these up on a regular basis, so this isn't a major issue. They have large rubber feet on the bottoms to prevent them from sliding around. They have a modern and sleek appearance. These, in general, do the job. br>br>Note: If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "creative The charging block for the Nintendo Pro Controller is USB-compatible. It's a huge C charging adapter that connects to your controller. I don't mind, but I'm sure those who play with you on your switch will notice; it doesn't add a lot of weight or inconvenience, but it's worth noting.

I was hoping that this dock would be comparable, but my initial impression was that it would not. br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this method It's a very light block. I mean, it's incredibly light! It has a cheap feel to it, and it moves when you place the controller on the table. I corrected the problem by removing the foam tape underneath and replacing it with double-sided sticky tape. It's not a big deal for most people, but it could be for others. Another issue I had was that the power cable that came with the unit was too short for my needs. I couldn't connect it to my power strip by running it down my Av tower, but you can use the Nintendo Switch dock's USB port instead. The Advantages: br> I've grown to appreciate this dock now that I've had it for a while! When I'm not using the pro controller, I like how I can simply set it down and it will begin charging. It also looks nice with your controller mounted on top of it, as if it were on display. I wish I had gotten a dock like this for my old Wii U pro controller because it has a small window for the controller's LED. I would have preferred it if it was of the same high quality as the PowerA PS4 controller dock, but it does exactly what it's supposed to do with no real issues.

It's a fantastic charger, and it's exactly what I was looking for. I started looking for a charging block as soon as I got my Switch Pro controller so I wouldn't have to keep plugging it in and wearing out the charger port; however, most charging blocks had the controller displayed upside down, which I didn't want. The charging block is lightweight, but it has non-slip pads on the bottom. I have no complaints about the dongle's connection to the controller, and though it takes a few tries to establish a connection with the charging block due to it not being placed correctly, I have no complaints about it. My controller is always charged and ready to go, the dongle hasn't interfered with controller inputs, and there hasn't been any noticeable weight difference. When the dongle is charging, it emits a very faint red light that is barely visible. When the charging is complete, it turns off. I really like this charger.
