Questions & Answers

Is the USB cable permanently attached to the charger, or can I replace it with a longer or new cable if it becomes damaged?

I have no idea what the seller is referring to. The charger comes with a USB cable that is permanently attached. To get the cable out, you'd have to disassemble it.

What type of connector does this have and where does it plug into the Switch?

This connects to the Nintendo Switch's docking station, which is located near the other connector ports. It can also be used to charge the joy cons by plugging it into a USB adapter and then into a wall outlet.

Is it possible to lock the joycons in place? Is it possible that they'd fall out if the stand was turned upside down?

The joy cons are securely held in place by the joy con dock.

Is it able to charge quickly and work with the Nintendo Entertainment System Controllers?

Yes, it charges extremely quickly, and no, it is not compatible with Nintendo Entertainment System controllers.

Obtain an adapter and connect it to the wall - The dock is not one of them
5/5

I've had it for a few weeks and am really enjoying it. I have 3- 4 pairs of joy-inducing shoes It's nice to be able to keep all of them charged at the same time. br>br>The quality of the construction is excellent, and there is no locking mechanism. Joy- The drawbacks come and go. If they're charging, the red light will turn on; if they're not, it will remain off. They don't come with a wall plug, but they do come with a non-rechargeable battery. The short USB cord is clearly intended to be plugged into the Switch dock, as it is detachable. br>br>But wait, there's more: So, up until recently, I'd had mine plugged into the dock of my Switch. And for a while, I thought there was a problem with my charger (or at least the charge-related part of it). Lights that serve as indicators ) Each Joy-related red light The con rail would light up, then turn off, then turn back on, and so on - All of this happens on an ad hoc basis. That struck me as odd, but I shrugged it off because, as far as I could tell, my Joy-filled life was still going strong. Cons have always had a lot of juice in them. HOWEVER - I recently purchased a USB extension cable and a generic (Amazon branded) charging brick on the basis of a hunch and attempted to plug it into the wall instead. br>br>And then all of a sudden, all of a sudden, all of a sudden, all of a sudden, all of a sudden, all of a sudden, The charging lights on the Con turned solid red and stayed that way until each Joy-Con was fully charged. Con had reached his maximum potential. br>br>After some more testing, I discovered that the Switch's dock does not appear to provide reliable power via the front USB ports unless the Switch is inside the dock AND in TV mode. The Hori charger didn't work properly through the front USB ports when the Switch was sleeping. br>br>I didn't test it with the dock's back USB port because that's where my Ethernet adapter is. Maybe (MAYBE) the back USB port provides reliable power while in sleep mode? I'm not sure; I'm not sure what I'm talking about. Because my back port is never free, I didn't put it to the test. br>br>In any case, grab an Amazon-branded wall outlet brick and plug it in that way. All of my other controller chargers (Wiimote chargers, Dualshock 4 charger, etc. ) are powered by the wall, so there's no reason to keep it plugged into the dock just because Hori didn't include a wall adapter.

I need a boost! This accomplishes the task admirably and with few compromises
4/5

No, there isn't a lock on it. br>br> down mechanism to keep the Joycons in place, but since all these things are doing is sitting and charging, this charging stand should stay in the same place the whole time. br>br>It's also fairly light, which is appropriate for a machine of this nature. br>br>The ONLY thing I don't like about it is that, while the end does have a USB port so you can plug it in anywhere, the cord is VERY short at 22 inches, or 1. 55 inches or 8 feet 8 cm. So, be cautious and pick a good location for this charging station. br>br>In general, this charging station appeals to me. I don't see the point in purchasing or trying another. It charges quickly, is discreet due to its all-black appearance, and the LEDs are simple to read. It has yet to fail me. br>br>For Nintendo Switch owners who have multiple Joycons, this is a must-have.

It is absurd to charge lights
3/5

Charge takes a long time. It makes no sense to charge lights: Charging is indicated by the color red. Off indicates that the joy con is not charging, which could indicate that it is not properly attached or that it is fully charged. It's critical to be able to tell the difference between fully charged and fully discharged but not fully connected batteries. br>br>Also, some partially charged joy-sticks have been discovered. The cons were still red in the morning after charging all night. As a result, it appears that it does not charge well either. Replace it with: br>br>Insert: br>br>Insert: br>br>.

So far, everything has gone well
5/5

There are a lot of chargers for Switch controllers on the market. Although it wasn't the shiniest or coolest-looking, it was Nintendo's official licensee. I've grown wary of investing in third-party controllers and other peripherals for gaming systems in the past. I believe this charging station was about $10 more expensive than most others, but the official licensing gave me peace of mind. It has a nice appearance, complements the Nintendo dock, and recharges the controllers. The controllers' charging status is indicated by a red LED. When the charging is complete, the LED turns off. I actually wish the LED turned green as a sign that they were charged because I believe it would be a more clear indication that they were done. When the LED turns off, it makes me wonder if the controller is properly seated. That's a minor quibble, and it's really a nitpick. I'm pleased with this charger in general.

It's simple to put on, and it's just as simple to take off
5/5

I've had the HORI Joy for a while now, and I'm quite pleased with it. For the past two weeks, I've been using the Con charger and couldn't be happier with it. The connection plugs into one of the USB ports on the back of the Switch (as shown in the photo). The joycons are simple to put on and take off; they don't use the clip system found on all Nintendo products, which can be frustrating when trying to get a wrist strap to disconnect so the joycon can be reattached to the console or charging grip - graaaaaa. *clears throat* The cradle also indicates whether or not a Joy-related item is present. Con is still charging, with a small LED that turns off when it's fully charged (as seen in the photo). There's also enough room for armor guards to surround your Joy-Buster. When one is attached, it leaves a 1cm gap at the bottom. I adore the fact that my controllers are always charged and that a Mario Kart marathon is never far away.

HORI stands for "high quality
5/5

" Overall, this is a very good charger. br>Charge up to four joycons at the same time using the charge indicator light located above each charge slot. br>Works great with standard joycons; however, it does not work with NES joycons. The NES joycons are a little too long, and they don't slide down far enough to connect with the charging pins.
