Amazon Basics Single Voltage USB Type-C to AC Power Adapter Charger for Nintendo Switch - 6 Foot Cable, Black

I wanted to focus on the size because, as some may know, the dock plug also functions as a portable charger, but it's too big to fit in most carry cases. Trying to fit the Nintendo charger inside the case puts a lot of strain on the Switch. br>br>At the moment, I'm using the Hestia Goods case, which has enough room for the Switch, games, controllers, an extra set of controllers, and a cable (as seen in the photos). This charger simply plugs into the cable's socket. The Switch's best feature is its portability, and having a charger that stays with the device is preferable to having to store and travel with a separate plug.

Because of its small size, I really liked this charger. It's been nearly two months since I got this charger. During that time, it has performed admirably. This charger is great for fitting into some of the slimmer cases out there because of its slim form factor and low price. Regrettably, I've just run into a stumbling block. I let the Switch's battery run out for the first time since I bought it. I plugged in this charger, but it does not seem to be able to get the device out of low battery mode (see photo). Although the Switch says it's charging, it's not. The progress bar for the battery does not change in any way. I waited an hour before concluding that this would not work. In addition, my Switch became quite warm during this time, and I wish I had noticed it sooner. I'm hoping that this charger didn't harm the battery in my Switch. For what it's worth, I did notice that this flaw was mentioned by another reviewer. I'm not sure if this is a situation where all of these chargers behave this way or if it's just a few isolated instances. As a result of this situation, I'm hesitant to buy any more AmazonBasic electronic accessories in the future.

Although this adapter allows for undocked charging, it does not support TV mode, as advertised. br>br>The error "Could not connect to the TV" appears on my Nintendo Switch. When using this adapter with the official dock, please make sure you're using the AC adapter that came with the console. " Several A/C outlets and TVs were put to the test. br>In the meantime, my original official adapter continues to function flawlessly with the same console in both TV and non-TV modes. br>br>I would have bought the cheaper AmazonBasics version, which says it doesn't work in TV mode, but I ended up paying more for a faulty version that doesn't deliver what the price difference promised.

I've had it for less than three months and have only used it about ten times. I plugged it in this morning, and the charger soon smelled like burning plastic and became so hot that I had to unplug it with a pot holder. I sincerely hope my Switch was not harmed as a result of this. I'm extremely disappointed.

Don't be fooled by the numerous 5-star reviews: this accessory will not charge a Switch with a completely depleted battery.

I had the same issue as another user here, and it was the only negative review I could find, so I ignored it. After it had completely died and the battery charge would not increase, I was afraid it had permanently bricked my Switch, but I plugged it into my dock and waited a few moments, and it began charging. I'm not sure whether or not the battery was harmed. I won't be using it anymore.

This is what I used on my Macbook Pro and Switch. It worked fine when it came to charging, but the USB-C port was broken. After only a few weeks of use, the c connector came loose. a sign of poor production quality br>br>Amazon claims to offer a one-year warranty on its products. This product comes with a one-year support/replacement warranty, but no instructions on how to file a claim. (Because it's technically past the 1-year mark, there's no return/replacement button on the Orders page, and this product is greyed out in the help section when you go to "problems with an order"). The return period is one month.

Satisfye has created the Switch's only (in my opinion) must-have accessory: ZenGrips are a type of grip that is used to hold things in place. Excellent product, except they significantly expand the Switch's footprint (I'm using a Lite) and will not fit in any case unless you pay for Satisfye's Elite case, which is pricey but worth it because it allows you to carry everything Switch in one case (including the grips comfortably). With the exception of "all-inclusive," The OEM charger is not compatible with "one" solution. The case wasn't designed with the proper dimensions to fit the OEM block for reasons I'll never understand. You can try to cram it into the upper corner of the case (as directed in the official Satisfye video), but you'll have to sit on it to close it - puts everything in the case under far too much stress (before/after photos included). Satisfye recommended this charger in the same video, and it works perfectly. The Satisfye Elite case's smaller size allows it to close easily, and everything is now Switch-compatible. I only have one case that is related to what I'm looking for. This charger comes highly recommended by me for those who own that case.
