Is it possible to watch TV?

This is nothing more than a charger. You can't connect this to your television.

This was purchased as a present for my son. The charger's blue light flashes when it's plugged in, but it doesn't seem to charge? Has this happened to anyone else?

This is a third-party product. If you must use a third-party product, I recommend going with a Nintendo charger made by Nintendo.

Is it also applicable to mobile phones?

As long as your phone has USB Type C, which is a universal standard, yes.

Does the Amazon Basics charger, like many other third-party products, reduce the switch's internal battery life?

For my son's switch, it didn't appear to be the case.

For long car rides, this is a must-have item

This is a must-have if you have a long car ride ahead of you; the switch lasts for about 3 or 4 hours of continuous use before it needs to be recharged. Bless yourself with continued quiet bliss from the back seat, and make sure to get one for your angelic heaven-spawned children. When their batteries run out, those angels turn into demons, and judgement day erupts from your back seat, spewing out anger and hatred that can only be described as apocolyptic in nature, you'll be wishing you had. When the pandora's box of unrest is opened, chaos ensues. well. My friend, best of luck. Best wishes to you.

I plugged the cable into the usb port, and when I tried to remove it, the connector remained in the port, and the cable's outer jacket came off

It's clear that the cable's connector piece was not even soldered to the wires inside the cable; instead, it appears that the cable was crimped around the connector. What a complete and utter scumbag. Don't buy it until they fix the massive batch of non-functioning units. cables that are soldered.

Keep the kids energized while they're out and about

We have three boys in our house, each of whom owns a Switch, and we've all had battery issues while playing certain games on the go. These Amazon Basics car chargers provide a quick charge at an affordable price. We haven't had any issues with them so far in terms of durability.

This was purchased for my son so that he could continue to play his Nintendo Switch while in the car, and it only takes a few minutes to charge. We've been driving for hours and it still doesn't have enough juice to play.

This charger has been with us since May of 2020. Only long trips and vacations have been taken with it. (Perhaps a maximum of seven. ) Today, we're going out for the 10th time, and the charge has died. Nothing happens when the blue light turns on. There was no charge, no life, nothing. The port piece appears to be extremely loose and barely in place. Whatever the case may be. You get what you pay for, and this is a complete waste of time.
