There are a few issues I noticed, but nothing you can't fix down the road; I'll list some of them below. This is an excellent place to start if you want to customize your keyboard. Because the pcb has 5 switch slots, you can use a wide variety of switches on this board. br>br>1st - The box had been punctured during shipping, which I noticed. It arrived in a plastic shipping bag, which would have been preferable to a cardboard box. second - br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br The lighting in this room is fantastic. Love the brightness and colors, and was especially excited for the white color profile after seeing some videos, which did not disappoint, but there was an issue with the color the key caps showed when illuminated to white, as you can see the shade of yellow in the type of plastic they used for the translucency under the key cap. I took some photos to demonstrate the color difference between the stock and HyperX Pudding caps, and it's very noticeable. The key caps are still very sturdy and feel great, but I prefer the shade of white that came with my other set. When I changed them out, I noticed a minor flaw in the tab key, but it's not a major issue. 3rd - br>br> Because the contents of the box make no mention of software, I had to use Google to discover that the Womier series software includes a Google drive where you can customize the colors rather than just using the Fn shortcuts to select preset colors. It's also unclear whether you can create macros on the keyboard without the software, but the software was updated last year to allow users to create custom macros, so that's a plus. br>br>4th - The construction is sturdy, but the siwtches are shaky. The stabilizers are translucent like the rest of the board, but they do have wobble as well; luckily, this board was designed to be modified, so some lube and stabilizer bandaids would fix a lot of the hollow clacky wobble with the longer keys. I did notice that the stabilizers were all different in terms of sound and feel. In addition, the stabilizers have some inconsistencies. Some keys moved very little and were extremely loud, while others moved a lot and were extremely loud.
I bought it because of the RGB acrylic case and hot swappable switches. The Gateron browns that come with it are adequate, but I intend to replace them with Kailh whites as soon as possible. The stock keycaps are fine as well, but I quickly swapped them out for pudding keycaps. It also includes four Gateron yellows that are extremely smooth, as well as a keycap puller and switch puller. These have taken the place of my space bar and shift keys. br>br>The software allows for per-key lighting and has some very nice effects. The color of the LED, on the other hand, is quite pale, and there's no way to control the individual LEDs on the keyboard's edges; it can only be rainbow or one color. There is also no way, as far as I can tell, to create your own animations. Overall, if you want a TKL keyboard with a unique design and hot swappable features, I recommend it. All of the stock features are fine, but once you start swapping out the switches, this keyboard can really shine.
Many people lube or fix the stabilizers on their switches to give their keyboards the "thock" sound, but this one sounds great even without them. br>br>This keyboard is HOT SWAPPABLE, which means you can easily swap out the switches and keycaps, which is a big plus if I ever want to customize it. Pictures and videos don't do this keyboard justice, and there are so many different modes to change the RGB straight from the keyboard. br>br>The only drawback is that the keyboard is fairly flat. The back risers don't really tilt it to an angle, so I can see how it would be uncomfortable for some people, but I don't mind it; alternatively, I could add thicker cushions to the bottom to make it more tilted/raised. BUY THIS KEYBOARD TEN OUT OF TEN TIMES! You will not be dissatisfied with your purchase.
It's fantastic now that I've added some POM keycaps! br>Not to mention the stock keycaps are fantastic! There aren't any wacky fonts here. br>It has a great look and feel to it. br>The only drawback I've noticed so far is that if you pull your keycaps out, the switches will sometimes come out with them! br>However, since it's a hot swap pcb, all you have to do if they come out is check that your switch pins aren't bent and replace them! br>For the price, this keeb is a beautiful looking and sounding board. br>However, the three acrylic plates that make up the body of this keeb are not even on the ends, so be aware that the ends may not be smooth. Mine have no rattling stabilizers at all. br>This thing feels almost custom right out of Amazon, so! I hope this information is useful.
