Questions & Answers

Is it possible to add an e bracket to it?

No, but you can use an e-brake to slow it down.

Is it possible to set it up with a left-hand gear shift like in the UK?

Yes. The shifter bar can be installed on either side of the vehicle.

My height is 6'5" and my weight is 220 pounds. Will I be able to sit in the chair without squeezing?

I'm 6'1" and weigh 350 pounds. EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS THING IS SOLID. They employ the same steel components that you would. Tools that are real. There is no stamping and the steel is industrial grade. In addition, the chair is quite tough. My broad buttocks are comfortably accommodated, and the seatback is sturdy. When you build it, you'll be able to see it. The only part I see failing is possibly wearing a cushion out due to my weight. someday?

When fully assembled, what are the product's dimensions?

My height and length are 40" and 62" respectively. Of course, the length can be adjusted. The seat width is a generous 22 inches, making it extremely comfortable.

What you pay for is exactly what you get
4/5

What you pay for is exactly what you get. I was enticed in by the price and appearance of this seat. It's easy to use and comes in a nice box. The box contains all of the necessary tools. If you follow the simple instructions, you'll end up with a nice cockpit. br>However, it is not without flaws; after all, you get what you pay for. It is almost entirely on the ground. For a senior citizen like myself, getting in and out is a challenge. I noticed that all of the pictures of it in use show it with stilts or a lift kit. For a little more money, you can have them. It was also noted that the seat's top does not conform to the driver. They sell a racing headrest-style pillow that can be attached to the headrest. More money is needed. Then it's on to the next step. br>It's a solid piece of equipment. Fully adjustable to fit all shapes and sizes of drivers. It's a fantastic seat, especially with the add-ons. Only the extras must be paid for.

This is a fantastic driving/flying vehicle! Purchase it; you will enjoy it! Quick summary: This is a very comfortable chair
5/5

built to last, sturdy, simple to put together, and highly customizable The customer service is exceptional, going above and beyond the call of duty. I am extremely pleased with my purchase. If you're going to buy a rig, this is the one to go with. Also, if you're debating whether or not you need a rig, I have some advice for you: you do. Simply purchase it. You won't be sorry if you do. br>br>An expanded version is available here: br>br> I've had this rig for almost a year and a half. I purchased it to use with a Vive Index to drive and fly in Virtual Reality. I use a Fanatec wheel, shifter, and pedals for cars, and a Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS with Logitech pedals for planes. I needed a system that allowed me to easily switch between those two modes. I did a lot of research and looked at a lot of different options, some of which were over $1000. Few of them appeared to be well-suited to both activities, and those that were appeared to be difficult to switch between. I decided to give this one a try because it had a clever design and good reviews. Since then, I've been totally blown away. br>br>Let's start with the kit: It's ideal, and with the extension (more on that later), it's in the ideal location for both activities. A single knob connects the driving pedals/wheel. The flight pedals have the same attachment, and the HOTAS (and gearshift on the rare occasions I use it) have two knobs each on the chair's arms. In about two minutes, I can switch from driving to flying. 3 minutes, and whatever set I'm not wearing fits easily into a coat closet in the hallway. It doesn't matter which setup I'm in, it's completely rock-solid. solid. Even before they sent me a free improved attachment plate (more on that below), the steering wheel was reasonably solid. The HOTAS (center stick/side stick) and shifter (left/right) can also be set to different positions. The chair is comfortable, has a tilt adjustment, and the wheel and pedal positions can be adjusted independently. Even without the clear instructions and color photographs, putting it all together would have been simple. There's no way to go wrong with those instructions. They even included a "real" wrench in the package. Not the disposable stamped-metal type I'd find in my toolbox. In such situations, metal junk is usually included. If I were forced to find a complaint under heightened interrogation, I would request more lumbar support; however, I have not been forced to do so (and I have a separate lumbar cushion), so I have no complaints. br>br>Now, when it comes to customer service, these guys are amazing! Several reviews with similar praise influenced my decision, but even knowing that I'd been blown away was a factor. At the time of my purchase, the company stated that a height extension kit would be available "soon," and a couple of reviewers stated that they had received beta kits to test. It worked fine without the extension, but I liked the idea of being 6" higher (especially for flying), so I emailed to inquire about the kit in question. The company responded the next day with a friendly email that was clearly written by a real person; He stated that the kit had been completed (it was no longer in beta) and that it would be available for purchase shortly. But he'd just hand it over to me for free. It was simple to set up when it arrived, and it has made a significant difference when flying. I'm guessing they've decided to sell it now. If you're going to use it for flying, I strongly advise you to get it; however, it's about the same for driving. In any case, I would have gladly paid the asking price for it, and the fact that it was sent over for free was impressive. br>br>So, having already started an email conversation because of the extension, a few weeks into using the rig, I made a couple of suggestions for future purchasers, such as replacing a couple of allen keys with knobs or simply including a few more of each. He replied that it was a great idea and then promptly sent me a bag of extra allens and knobs! Then, at some point, he wrote to inform me that the steering wheel attachment had been redesigned to be less susceptible to inadvertent tilt changes; He quickly updated it and sent it to me free of charge. The old one wasn't causing me any problems, but it did require a lot of tightening; the new one is much better, and presumably is now included by default; so that's three different items that these nice people just packaged up and sent to me for free, voluntarily. I didn't even ask for two of them, which is incredible. Possibly the best customer service I've ever witnessed. br>br>As you can see by the gear I've attached to this rig, I'm a bit of a purist when it comes to this stuff. I was prepared to spend four digits if necessary, and I looked at a few options in that price range. I would still recommend this chair if it cost $1200. Without a doubt. The good news is that it isn't the case! It's only a third of the price! You simply cannot afford to pass up this opportunity! br>br>Do you want to keep reading? For the love of God, it's written in the style of Faulkner! Don't waste any more time reading and go out and buy this rig!.

A fantastic price, a solid rig, and a high-quality product
5/5

quality! This is the best bang for your buck rig you can find — I found the Openwheeler GEN2 Racing Cockpit after hours of searching the internet, watching YouTube, and asking friends. Although shipping was extremely delayed (thanks to FedEx), Dimitar at HomeRacer (the seller) was extremely responsive when I contacted him and promptly air-shipped my order. mailed me a replacement order that arrived in time for Christmas, and I returned the original order, which had been sitting in a FedEx warehouse for two weeks before being delivered. br>br>I've installed a Logitech G920 with manual shifter, and it fits perfectly; all necessary hardware was included for a secure installation (no wiggle/wobble or anything in the steering column). The seat is also of excellent quality, and I appreciate the quick-adjust settings; it's certainly large enough for a full-size person to sit in. I'm a six-foot-tall standard-build adult, and there's plenty of room for someone even bigger than me to feel at ease. br>br>I recently added a USB extension cord to the rig to extend the distance between the console and the G920, as the OEM cord is quite short once installed. For an immersive surround-sound experience, audio can be streamed through headphones using the controller. Without causing any inconvenience to others, you can enjoy a sound experience. br>br>The only flaw I've discovered with this rig is the lack of a center-point. There are a lot of configuration options for the steering wheel, and I have no trouble getting to the pedals. The Buttkicker Gamer2 will be added next for even more immersion, but even without it, this right has completely transformed the driving game experience. For the price, I would buy it again ten times over.
