"Reset" is a term I'm not familiar with. This is merely an audio adapter for certain headsets, such as the Turtle Beach X12s. It has no effect on your Xbox's hard disk or memory. I hope this information is useful.
YES br>This provides an optical audio output for original Xbox 360 models, as well as RCA outputs when connected via HDMi.
Mine was not a squander of funds. I did not receive a refund. The device I ordered from GameStop was quite pricey, but it performs admirably.
This adapter allows you to connect an Xbox 360 console to both analog and digital audio outputs. The adapter has no effect on video and cannot be used with the original Xbox.

Listen up: if you have a "Dolby Digital Surround" headset but an Xbox 360 Arcade, Pro, or Elite, your Xbox does not have an optical port on the back. For Dolby digital, optical is required. The RCA (red/white) jacks are only for Left/Right audio; they do not support surround sound. You don't need this if you want surround sound and your TV has an open optical out port on the back. You don't need this if you want stereo sound and have open RCA Audio out jacks. If your television doesn't have an open optical port or RCA jacks, this will come in handy. Just make sure you require it prior to purchasing it. If your TV doesn't have open RCA out ports and you want to use stereo sound with your 360 Slim, you'll need this. The 360slim, on the other hand, has a stereo sound optical out port.
IT PERFECTLY WORKS. br>br>And now Rocksmith is in perfect sync, and our soundbar no longer lags when we use the 360 for other things. br>br>I'm not sure why these aren't included with the units. They're pretty much required if you're going to run audio out and need it to be in sync with anything, let alone a Rocksmith game. br>br>You may not believe you require one, but once you have one and place it in the middle of your audio chain, you will notice a significant difference. The audio output on your television isn't working- Whatever you're doing, watching, or playing, it'll lag behind. That issue is addressed by this device. br>br>If you have a 360 and want to connect your sound to something other than your TV, get this RIGHT NOW.
I'm connecting my old faithful XBOX 360 to my subwoofer with this RCA audio device. It worked, but I had forgotten about the HDMI - There is a lag in the audio synchro. The music does not sync with the subwoofer when I turn up the volume on my TV (which is connected via HDMI). The device functions properly, but my setup is ineffective. My TV does not have audio out, so I need a different way to get the audio out of it.
Exactly what we were looking for, and it works perfectly. We no longer have to listen to the sounds from the kids' Xbox 360 games, and they can hear them better. This is fantastic when combined with a bluetooth dongle and headphones. Note: This is NOT the place to talk to other gamers, which isn't what we were looking for. We put a "3" next to it. a bluetooth dongle, and a 5mm stereo female jack to two male RCA plug adapter y cable.
Yes, when changing channels with this device, the Xbox 360 will reset. Instead of staring at a loading screen, I like to switch to watching television. You won't be able to do that with this device, but it's a small price to pay for better video quality. It's not a huge deal because I recently upgraded my speakers. Please let everyone know if you find a way to get around this problem and change channels without having to reset the Xbox.
This device made it possible for me to continue to watch high-definition video on my 1080p television via HDMI. Because the gun shots sounded so clear and loud, my neighbors mistook it for someone setting off fireworks while playing black ops. Also, despite the fact that it has been a week, I have had no issues with resting. THANK YOU SO MUCH, GUYS!.
It's both functional and appealing. The only problem I see is that if you're already using an HDMI connection, you'll need to plug in the Optical, USB, and Red/White Audio jacks as well to get digital sound. In terms of sound, there are far too many connections.
