Questions & Answers

Will the video play on both tvs if I use the blue green red on one and the yellow red white on the other?

Because it isn't a splitter, the answer is no. It has a small switch on it that allows you to switch between HD and standard mode; it's either one or the other.

I bought an older XBOX 360 (120 GB, no wireless) from a friend. Is this the same cable as the one that came with the previous version?

Yes. They changed from an AV cable to an HDMI cable at some point. This is the original cable included with the console's first few revisions.

Is it possible to use it with a TV that isn't HDMI?

Yes, if your TV has component (red, blue, and green for video, red and white for audio) or composite (yellow for video, red, and white for sound) input. The quality of the component input is usually higher.

Is this something that will work with my composite inputs?

If there are six inputs, it is said to be a six-input device

Component Video Cables are ideal for watching HD content on your Xbox 360 console
5/5

We have two televisions, one of which is a newer plasma with HDMI connectors and is located downstairs; the other is an older plasma with no HDMI connectors and is located upstairs. The other television is an older HD 1080i CRT television that is located upstairs and only has component video input. Guess which one the wife gets to use: the nice new plasma with HDMI connectors, of course. As a result, I needed component video cables to get the best picture for my gaming experience. I bought these because they were cheap and said they were Microsoft OEM. (You'd think that for $400, MS would include these cables instead of the RCA-only cables. ) )br>br>The seller was fantastic; the price was very reasonable, the parts were in stock, the order was processed quickly, and everything arrived intact. I was not let down in any way. I plugged them in, tweaked the settings on my Xbox, and voila, a stunning 1080p HD picture appeared. A fiber optic audio cable port on the cable, which I use to connect to my surround sound system, is an added bonus. br>br>If your XBox 360 Slim requires component video, these are the cables to use.

Xbox in Full HD via Component (no HDMI)
5/5

I bought this cable to connect an Xbox 360S to my father's older TV that didn't have HDMI because I was sick of using Component-Video. The HDMI converter box is giving me a headache. It wouldn't work with dedicated streaming devices (e. g. , Roku, Apple TV, etc. ). Roku's final component--whether it's a Fire TV Stick or a Chromecast-- Our capable box is so old that it doesn't support the majority of apps (including games). HBO Go), as well as the most recent "Smart" blu-ray release. I was able to purchase a Blu-ray player with component-based pricing. So I dug out my old Xbox 360, connected it to the computer with this cable, and voila! Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, HBO Go, YouTube, and other video services are all available to stream to an old tube television. br>br>There's not much to say about the cables themselves, except that they work with both the Xbox 360 and the Xbox 360 Slim (make sure your 360 didn't come with one already). The only problem I had was getting 1080p to work with a 360S connected to an old Toshiba HD CRT display that didn't have HDMI. I'm still not sure if it's a TV issue or if they limit component output to 1080i, but the Xbox's settings showed that the highest it could go and still display a picture was 1080i (despite other sources running 1080p). I can't complain because it still looks good, and it's an old TV. br>br>NOTE: if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, this is the place to be br>Some reports stated that cables did not arrive as expected. The grey official MS cables (the same ones that came with a previous 360) were delivered to me.

However, it does not work in 1080p
3/5

BLUF: This is a functional cable. br>br>Because this cable isn't made by Microsoft, the material and construction quality are subpar. br>br>Connections are snug and easy to spot. br>br>1080p is not correctly displayed. 1080p has a lot of shadows and is a little shaky. Although 720p is superior, it suffers from poor sharpness. The best resolution appears to be 1080i, which is why I deducted two stars for not displaying 1080p. br>br>I have a Sony Bravia 50" model from 2015. I've used Microsoft-built component cables with 1080p before with no problems, so I know these are the problem cables. br>br>Hope this helps.

THE PRODUCT IS NOT AS DESCRIBED IN THE ADVERTISEMENT
3/5

This item was purchased so that I could move my Xbox 360 from one room to another without having to move all of its wires as well. I took it out of the box, checked it for damage, and put it on the shelf until I was ready to move my Xbox to another room (which took months because I was remodeling). When I went to connect it, I discovered that it DOES NOT HAVE THE YELLOW CONNECTOR AS SHOWN IN THE PHOTO, SO IT DOES NOT WORK AND IS NOT AS DESCRIBED. br>I contacted the seller, but they DID NOT RETURN MY CALL. Now I'm told it's too late to return the item, which is a load of nonsense. This seller should not be purchased from. br>br> They are not honest if they sell something that is not as described and ignore customer emails. They will take your money and run.

Exceptional quality
5/5

This is a well-made cable, from the construction to the output. cable that has been handcrafted br>The coloration is vibrant and the clarity is impressive. On a Samsung HDTV, the results were evaluated. br>Even where they separate, the cables are extremely thick, with gold-plated ends. tipped. br>I'm not sure if I've ever seen any other component cables that look and feel as solid. br>br>However, there is one thing to keep in mind about these: Unlike most Xbox 360 cables, this one does not have an SDTV/HDTV switch. br>That switch, as far as I can tell, would have turned on or off a progressive display. br>(I'm not sure why these cables needed to be that way- The Playstation, Wii, and every DVD player that has ever existed do not. )br>Though this is unlikely to be a problem for most people, it does mean that you'll need an HDTV to use this cable, or possibly an SDTV capable of progressive displays (if such a thing exists), because the Xbox'senses' the cables and automatically turns progressive. Of course, the higher resolutions are half the fun of these cables, but sometimes people get these just to read the gosh darn text on modern games-- so tiny. br>br>I was about to return these cables when I overheard a relative wanting to get rid of an HDTV--so I kept them at the last minute. This means I'll be able to use them again. I'm at college right now, and I'm stuck with an SDTV (thankfully, one of the best I've ever seen). I believe it was a Sony Trinitron from the year 1996. I didn't think this would be an issue because I already had component cables for my Playstation 2, but I think it will work out. br>br>I chose this set because it appears to be of higher quality than Microsoft's alternative (which includes an SD/HD switch and composite leads on the side). Ironically, I should have gone with the other option.
