Faulty. The product was not functional. Several buttons were connected by a single button. (Pressed B to pause the game, then jumped, moved forward, fired weapon, and switched weapons. ) B, X, Y, B, X, Y, B, X, Y, B, X, Y, B, X, Y, B, X, pad).
The plastic is slightly off-kilter, and there are some minor flaws where the edges meet. The buttons aren't as satisfying to press as they once were. The cables appear to be shorter as well, and they required some force to fit into the SNES's ports the first time. br>br>Once you get past the negatives, they work great and are inexpensive. You will have to pay more if you want a premium experience. If you plan on playing every day, you might want to consider investing in some more expensive controllers. You couldn't do much worse than these if you just want some controllers for occasional nostalgia trips and don't want to spend a lot of money.
To fix the game, the console must be restarted. For your consideration, I've put together a list of benefits and drawbacks: br>br>Advantagesbr>- The plastic does not appear to be any less expensive than the original controllers. br>- All of the button presses are enjoyable. It is not overly cheap or clicky. Consbr>- br>br>- br>br>- br>br>- br>br>- b The chord is very short - only about a quarter of a second long. I essentially have to sit in front of my television. br>- The controller goes dead after five to ten minutes of play, and I have to restart my computer to get it to work again. It's ridiculous. br>br>Conclusionbr>The controller works in theory, but it stops working in the middle of a game. A serious issue is the game. The controllers are a waste of money, and I would not recommend purchasing them.
These were purchased to replace the ones we already had. I'm not sure I'd give it a five-star rating, but it does the job. They're not as well-made as the originals, and the cords aren't as long, but all of the buttons work, and they serve their purpose, which my 12-year-old doesn't mind! All he wants to do is play with his Super Nintendo!.
I bought a new console that can play Super Nintendo games, and it works pretty well, except for the fact that the controllers that came with it have buttons that stick after a while, making game play extremely difficult, so I tried to fix it but broke it. This was purchased as a replacement and has proven to be excellent. There are no sticky buttons, and I can tell the springs beneath them are much stiffer than the others. I'm very happy.
I used these for my SNES console, which I've had since I was a kid, and oddly enough, one of the two controllers' plug in parts was slightly larger than the other, as it had to be plugged in with a bit of force, regardless of which slot, whereas the other controller's plug fit in easily and snugly. The second controller has some issues with the d-pad as well. Pad down and to the right, as in, it won't work unless you put a lot of effort into it. The controllers required a lot of force to be responsive at first, but after a few hours of use, it became easier. Despite the odd size difference in construction and responsiveness, as well as the occasional system crash (which I never experienced with my original controllers), these controllers are well worth the money; they fully function, and my sister and I have been able to play on them for hours on end without issue.
The chord is a little short, and the control buttons appear to be running ahead of themselves, but the controller is still functional. It's a fantastic buy for the money. It's also very cute.
We've had these controllers for about a month, and already one of them isn't always working; one of the controllers' buttons isn't responding when pressed. They're okay for the price and did the job we needed them to do.
