In order to test the compatibility of this extension cable with my RetroBit Trio system and controllers included with it, I purchased it. Although it works on the controller that came with the RetroBit Trio, it does not work on third party controllers. At the end of the cables, they have a Sega Genesis/Atari connector, not a SNES connector. The extension cable can't be used with that controller, therefore it can't be used. Retro-was the first thing I saw I just assumed it would work due to the word Bit in the title, but apparently I have a different RetroBit than what is pictured! That was my fault for not double checking my controller before purchase. Even so, I still have my old Super Nintendo controllers and use them, so I still found the extension cable a great value! With them, I can sit farther away from the console and use them! In the end, everything worked out just fine. A star was taken off for the somewhat misleading title of this product.
It was a waste of my money and time. I tried it on both an original SNES and my Retron5. I could not use my controls with the extension (I tested with 3 original SNES controllers). My mistake was to throw the box away the moment it arrived, as I assumed something so simple would work fine, so I cannot I've included a picture, as well, in order for you to see how misaligned the contacts are right out of While it still recognized the controllers, it will not let me plug it in.
with my RetroDuo console. I purchased another controller and was glad I had the extension cable, had I not I'd be sitting on the edge of the bed playing and I wouldn't be happy. This was a good purchase and I may order another one in the near future.
While the units work correctly, I feel as if something is going to snap when I plug them into my console because of how tight they fit. It will not harm the pins on the controller at the other end. The cables are very cheaply made and got broken very quickly after installation, they should've come as a pair for this price. I made the decision to go with Retro Bit over other brands because it is more recognizable. My mistake was that I thought everything would work out. It's just more junk from overseas.
The cords on the Famicom controllers are super-short, so I bought this cable to go with the Famicom controllers. Short cords are popular among the Japanese, who dislike long ones. I needed to sit close to my TV before I used these extension cables, but I don't have to any longer. I was able to plug in the controller cable snugly and snap them into the console without any This is a highly recommended read.
I have a retro-compatible computer and this did not work The system I bought from Amazon is a dual-bit system. My Super Mario game became slower when I removed the extension, so I noticed that Mario did not jump as high as before it.
It's great to have an extension cord for the SNES. It took no observable delay between pressing the button and the action taking place on the screen which I purchased a pair of them.
It works well. It was exactly what I was looking for. I found the seller to be very responsive when one was not present. The pants are well made and give grandsons the added length they need.
