Questions & Answers

Do you have a rocker on the dpad so you won't accidentally set it to a directional input? I read that the Cirka controller didn't have one and users complained about it. ?

am unable to comment on the inside of the controller, since I have not taken it apart, but I don't remember that way of accidentally causing inputs. I think the problem is that diagonal inputs aren't working consistently on both sides of the d-pad. The controller is not ideal for games like Street Fighter II because fireball motions will only work on one side of the screen. You can read my full review for more details. Unless you're looking to play an opulent game, this is a very bad controller

How does this program work with hyperkins Supaboy?

In fact, yes. With a SupaBoy, any controller that worked with a SNES should also work. Though it's pretty comfortable, the controller is not as responsive as I'd like Since the pad of this controller isn't so good, I wouldn't recommend it

Would it be possible to use this on the ?

All systems with SNES controller ports should be able to use this hack, assuming that the ports are wired to read button inputs from a In general, devices with SNES controller ports should be able to support SNES controllers just fine, as it seems unlikely that any manufacturer would include SNES controller ports and not properly wire them.

Selected User Reviews For Hyperkin "Scout" Premium Controller for SNES

You won't be getting a good game experience from it since it's a Hyperkin controller Hyperkin's own X91 controller for Xbox One is very similar to this controller in terms of shape
3/5

The X91's general feel and performance are pretty much the same way as that of this controller in that the ergonomics are fantastic, but the D-pad could use some improvement I don't like the smell of the pad. The back of both of these controllers isn't completely flat, as it is with the official SNES controller. The feedback is great, as well as the X91. In addition to the rounded sides, the back of the controller is also slightly rounded, making it so much more comfortable to hold and so much more natural to hold. I find the controller to be quite comfortable, and it generally feels the same as the official SNES controller barring It's another matter when it comes to performance. Except for the D-, nearly everything is in good condition This pad does work fine, but Hyperkin seems to take a long time to make a symmetrical D-pad. An example of one side of the d-type It is always a pleasure to use the pad, but the other side of the disc can be annoying The pad that came with the computer When playing Street Fighter II as Ryu and you're on the left side, it will be easier for you to execute Fireballs and Dragon Punches, but Hurricane Kicks will be a lot more difficult. A closer look at the negative side of the equation There is still a certain level of inconsistent performance here despite the pad. On the other hand, get to the right side of your foe, and the opposite happens. There are no consistent Fireballs or Dragon Punches, but you can really kick like crazy with Hurricane Kick. It's not that I wouldn't recommend them, but I'd suggest just buying a used official SNES controller for the same price. It may even include some knockoffs of the original The reductions are reversible as the result of the The controllers on those are at least better than the ones on these.

The only problem I had was the delay on buttons
4/5

I bought cheap reproductions before and they had major button lags. As a result, it takes longer from the time you press a button to the time when the action is executed on screen.

This controller is less expensive, but more comparable to the original controller. Super Mario World was the first game I speed ran (it took me 2 hours for 96 exits so it wasn't great) and I noticed a few differences with this controller, especially when playing under water. You should be able to maintain your spot underwater if you press B once to swim. The button b sometimes caused you to fly up the screen as if you were pressing b multiple times and holding down the up button on the d pad at the same time. There seems to be something strange going on and it makes water levels challenging but not impossible. There may be an update for Donkey Kong Country, or even other games, as there might be a hardware issue. If there is any other problem, this would be a good option if your original controllers are falling apart. Do not waste your time on the other cheaper alternatives. There won't be anything perfect on the second, I think you will have to deal with some minor issues.

Extreme controller on sale for much too low a price
5/5

Now is the time to buy. You can now slap like no other. I give the controller 69/10. It is a very good controller, and especially for the price it holds up very well compared to the original, and it even improves a few things. It has bubbles in the decal. I don't know, maybe you don't think about it all that much. You can either remove the bubbles or pretend that they're not there. It has a D pad and button that are fantastic. Input lagg is as small as possible.

Although there are some drawbacks, this is an excellent controller for the price
4/5

Despite its good performance, there are two things to keep in mind. As a result of how the cord was bundled and packaged, it had a few nicks. A similar problem occurs with the grey "bezel" on the front, which appears to be just a sticker or decal and contains In terms of performance, it's good and it feels good in the hand. There is no lag and the response time is fast. This cable's length of 10ft was the main factor that attracted me to it. Only one I've seen so far has a long cable of 10ft, so I was looking for a good wired controller with a long It feels good to press the buttons. The texture should not be too sticky or Overall, it seems like a good controller for what I was looking for. It's a little light and feels like plastic, but it fits the needs that I have. In terms of delivery, Castlemania has been swift. In only two days, the order arrived! A reasonable price and free shipping made this product a good choice. Those guys deserve a big round of applause. This is amazing!.

The quality actually improves as time passes
5/5

I was going to give it a 3 star at first, but then I laughed at the premium label attached. It started to feel better after I broke it in a bit and went from a 3 to a 4 and then to a 5. Now that I love the controller so much, I just leave it plugged in all the time. I also love how the grey in the face matches the HDMI snes quite well. It comes in SFC (SFC When you receive the sticker, if any bubbles are present, just push them out like you would do with a screen protector, and it'll be fine.

Replace your SNES controller with this excellent product
5/5

Since I have been utilizing it as my primary SNES controller for several months now, even though I have four OEM SNES controllers that are quite worn out Free of charge. To be honest, I was hesitant to leave a review until I put this thing through its paces, but I found out recently that I often reach for my Scout instead of the original Nintendo controllers when I want to play my SNES. The controller feels identical to the original Nintendo branded controller, right? This isn't really a third-party pad, but it is leaps and bounds beyond any I've ever used for the SNES, all the way back to the system's original incarnation. In the past, the NES controller that came with Retron HD has been similarly useful to me. I am so satisfied that I am going to buy the USB version of the Scout (to replace my Buffalo controller, which I never really liked) and I am also going to buy the Genesis 6 button replacement Hyperkin also makes. You all did a fantastic job.

Controllers that are super good
5/5

Despite the excellent controllers 8BitDo has, none of them One of the drawbacks of a wireless controller is that it won't be possible to replace the proprietary battery when it stops charging in a few years. It'll be like having a brick in your hands. The latency of wireless connections is also an issue. The quality of these controllers is excellent. I am about to purchase two more in addition to the four I purchased.
