Can it be played on a region-free system?

There is one system at my store that can handle both NTSC and NTSC-PAL games, but I do not have any other systems available You can change the region of a J Games game by using the switch on the back. It is not possible to play the DVD portion on a region-free player.

Would you mind explaining what is included in the sale and if everything is working?

There is nothing wrong with blatantly misleading sales headlines and descriptions. I did not purchase the item, but my guide clearly indicates a price range of $600 - $3000 US for Panasonic's Nintendo Game Cube, which has an eight-pound shipping weight. My contact with the seller led to his response that it was only for an overpriced controller, you should really fix the sales headline and/or idea description not cool.
