There are no batteries required for this device. Although it will work with rechargeable batteries, an external AA charger is required.

Is there a way to keep the battery covered if there isn't one?

Having no battery cover on the game unit does not affect the game. It is easy to insert the batteries into the game and they stay in place even when playing.

Is it possible to play games from the Game Boy Color?

The Game Boy Color version of this game is backwards compatible.

Do you know what batteries are required for this?

The device uses two AA batteries, but I believe it takes three or four, but someone stole the batteries

As for the condition of the product, it's gorgeous! Although my daughter wanted to play, I got to play for just a few minutes before she snatched it away from me.

The product arrived in great condition and is over all a great handheld device. Buyers need to be aware for the line "battery cover included" in order not to be My Japanese Mariocart Advance with the GBA SP I bought with it came with it for some reason or another and it also works with my GBA SP I already.

During shipping, we used bubble wrap to protect the product The USPS will wrap the envelope. There are a few light to medium scratches in the screen, which are not distracting, but they are an inconvenience. There are no serious issues with the rest of the console body. A color scheme and a color palette Besides the sound working great, it included the battery cover as well. The overall experience has been very satisfactory for me. The game has been completely fine for my 5 year old son and me for the last few hours. You are the best seller! Thank you!.

I bought a GBA from Amazon, great deal for the price. It works perfectly with no sticking buttons or faulty anything, and my brother in law is extremely pleased with it! I should add that there were a few more cosmetic defects than what was shown in the description or in the pictures. As promised, it was showing some signs of wear, which I expected. As far as the screen is concerned, you can see it just fine, the yellowing is minor, and the buttons do not shake. However, there is an obvious grind line from something such as a knife on the right trigger. Attempting to fix a sticking trigger seems a dirty fix. I think it may have been spilled Coke or something on the interior, because there are dried droplets of something dark splattered on the interior. I also would like to see it gotten a more thorough exterior cleaning with something like a qtip- There was some kind of thin, rusty colored gunk up in the edges/cracks/corners. I am absolutely in love with it, and the abuse it went through is pretty much exactly the same as what my Game Boy Advance went through There are many old games that I tested I love playing them again because they load up well. I was pleased with the speed of shipping and the way it was packaged. 4 of 5.

I like this color a lot This makes me feel like the coolest person ever! While I was a kid, I wanted one of these when they were new, but I didn't get one until now, and I am so happy I got it

A black and white gameboy was my first experience with a video game. However, I do have one minor complaint, and that is that when I plug my earphones in, there is a background humming, but I doubt I will use those while playing anyway so it isn't a big deal.
