My ten-month-old son is overjoyed! It can also be used to store sensory items. After I finished playing with water, I filled it with colored pasta, which made a lot of noise and was a lot of fun to scoop. br>NOTE: THIS PAGE HAS BEEN UPDATED. ONE OF THE BEST BUYS I'VE MADE IN A LONG TIME!.
This table was just purchased today to be used inside with a cornmeal/vegetable oil mixture. It is a hit with my son! Perfect indoor activity for him that I can easily fill with water and set out on the deck in the spring and summer. It comes with a set of adorable little dinosaurs. In addition, this table is smaller than our Step2 Island Resort water table, so it takes up less space. Also, I like the color scheme.
It took a lot longer to put together than I had anticipated. However, taking it apart makes it sturdier and easier to store, as many toys like this have snaps that are difficult to disengage. I'd like a drain in the sand side so that it could be used with water or drained. The kids mix the sand and water right away, so draining the water from the sand side would be advantageous. If necessary, a bucket can be used to catch sand as it drains from the water side. It holds about 3 pounds of sand, and I got it from Home Depot in a 50-pound bag, which is the only size of play sand they have. I'm thinking of making kinetic sand by mixing some with cornstarch.
This is an outstanding water table! Last summer, we purchased a Little Tikes Pirate Ship, and two of the models had water filling the legs (design flaw). My 5. This is something that my 5-year-old son enjoys using, despite the fact that it is a little short in height for him. It's of good quality and hasn't faded in use after a few months. The included Dinos change color, which is entertaining. I did put a dab of hot glue in their holes to keep them from collecting water and mold. Because there were two options, I chose the basic set, which included the accessories shown in the photo.
We've had cheap ones before, but they never last, so I was surprised when I had to use a drill to put it together (a screwdriver would work, but a drill is much easier). The material is extremely durable and thick. The toys are of good quality, the plug holds the water without leaking, and the attachments are well-fitting. br>Our 5-year-old son can play with this without difficulty. He prefers to play with it while seated on his knees.
This water table has a lot of potential. I like the simple, easy-to-clean design, as well as the fun toys and tools that come with it. Dinosaur toys that squirt water from their mouths are adorable. br>br>Installation was simple because most of the screws were pre-installed. created a void There was no pre-drilled hole in the table legs. You can use a screwdriver to make a hole for the screw if you don't have one.
We only put sand in it for our son, who loves being able to stand and dig, dump, and play with his little dinos. He's had a lot of fun with it so far, and there'll be more. The table itself is very simple to assemble; it took me no more than 15 minutes. I'm not sure I would have combined sand and water, at least not for a two-year-old. He enjoys moving sand from one area to the next, so it would have been a sloppy situation. However, it's a great deal of fun.
