Buying this for my first child was a great idea. Unaware of how tall this water toy is, a 5-year-old boy holds it. There is definitely a lot more complexity and height to this, so it's definitely for taller and more advanced kids. Despite loving the magic flower, my toddler could not reach it, and had to be picked up in order to see it on his own. As a toddler watched mom and dad play with this toy, mom played with it as well. There didn't seem to be much else for me to do except scoop water from the bottom to the top to activate the flower or get water to drip down from top to bottom. In the tier with the turtles, almost none spun I don't know why it dropped out of the water table and fell into the leaf. The only thing you need to do is keep refilling it because it spills out easily. It seemed as if the frogs had no purpose as well. Overall, the main attraction is the magical flower, but it faded significantly within just a week of being outside before being moved to storage in the garage. I don't think I'd use this for my toddler, even if he would be tall enough to use it. I'm fine with it.
The kids are going to love playing with this cute water table! There can be only If there were a drain plug at the bottom, there wouldn't be any need to dump the water. In addition, it is nearly impossible for the children to fill the flower pot fast enough without the hose in order to grow the flower.
This game is a hit with five year olds. The dress is a little tall for her as of now but that is ok because she is growing bigger and bigger. The water flower at the top is accessible from a small deck to which I set the aquarium next, so she loves to gaze at it. The only problem is that the water that falls on the turtles rains down onto the fish and leaves and then goes straight to There is no way I understand what is going on here. The problem with this device is that I live in California, and I am concerned about water usage. In addition, I do not want to sit and fill the device with the hose all day and it creates I put a water trough down to collect the water. While this works very well for us, I still think it's a poorly designed product and it's the reason it's not a 5-star product.
I just put it together (no water yet). I like it very much. A few pieces were damaged in transit.
The water table is adorable, and both my 2 year old and I enjoyed playing with (Although not as much as a typical table that holds a lot of water and is easy to drop water on. It came with a missing part, but it still works without it. I tried to get it replaced, but it is not yet available. The item is covered by a 1 year warranty, so there is no need for concern. Yet, since I have submitted all of the documentation required for my warranty claim, Little Tykes is treating me as though I have not submitted all of the required information. I would rather deal with the hassle than pay for the piece.
It was the only water table I could find that allowed my baby (8 months) to play and splash in the water as well. While all that would be wonderful, I am fed up with the fact that water continuously drains out, so more must be added to have any at all. In an ideal world, water would simply pool below so kids could scoop and pour, but instead it waters the lawn. My older child (4) is still a bit hesitant about the toys he got, but he's played with them a few times and now they're just sitting on the floor. It would have been much more practical to spend half the money on a plastic bin, kitchen gadgets/water toys/cups, and make a water pouring station that could be packed away and repurposed when the kids get older.
My thoughts were that he would enjoy filling up the buckets with water and dumping it out afterwards. The bottom tub drops below the level of water needed to fill it so that it can effectively fill. Ultimately, I found this to be pretty useless as an outdoor toy, especially in light of the fact that you could just as well fill it up with a hose. It was a Little Tikes plaything, and I gave it to a neighbor and bought a pool with an umbrella and scooping cups from Step 2.
Except for the horrendous screws at the bottom, this was really rather easy to assemble. In addition, the water cans were missing. It was not surprising that a week later, I have still not heard back from the manufacturer. Ok, it's been a few weeks since I heard anything, but I could certainly be mistaken. There is no way the flower would come up without the watering can as the toy would not function without I am very angry at myself for spending so much money on a toy we won't play with.
