The legs are extremely wobbly after assembly. Not in the least bit sturdy. The height adjustment knobs are nearly impossible to use, but the lid is extremely useful. I expected a higher level of quality for the price.
It's a hit with her! To me, putting it together was a breeze. It took me a while at first because I'm terrible at putting things together, but I got it done! So anyone could LOL, I read the reviews before buying this product and noticed that one of them said it wasn't very sturdy, which I agree with to some extent. When you place it where it's really high, like in the first photo I provided with the lid on, it does wobble a little. It's not super wobbly where you'd want to return it, but it should be fine if you prop it up against the wall or against a side of the wall. I'm not sure how other kids do it; I know you're supposed to stand at a table, which is why it's so high, but my daughter sits in her chair, so I had to put it in the shortest hole so she could reach it. I really like how it's two-sided and how sturdy it is! When I say I was being super clumsy, I mean I dropped these bins at least 10 times and they didn't crack. I like it because it can be held for a long time and it is quite deep. Anyone would benefit from this!.
Unfortunately, the lids are made of brittle plastic and have already broken after only one year. I contacted customer service about replacing the lids, and they responded quickly. Replacement lids, on the other hand, are $10 each plus $5 shipping (I believe per lid). ) As a result, I don't want to spend another $30 on replacement lids after spending nearly $100 on the original play table. A word of advice for the wise - To avoid making the same mistake as me, keep your lids out of the reach of children.
First and foremost, I required something for sensory stations in a small Preschool space. I was looking for something that would be simple to clean, and this appears to be it. Putting it together, on the other hand, was extremely inconvenient. The puzzle pieces didn't seem to fit together properly. We were able to put it together after two of us set aside time and pulled tools from the toolbox. (It shouldn't have taken two grown adults to complete this task. ) The fact that it isn't very sturdy is my biggest gripe. This thing shakes and wobbles despite being put together as well as it possibly could. For those who work with three-dimensional objects, You know how much a lack of sturdiness annoys 5 year olds. I would have expected something that could withstand the abuse of small children for nearly $100. The fact that sensory materials are so expensive for what you get is disappointing.
I was surprised by how tough and long-lasting the bins were. I'm glad this is the case because it appears to be able to withstand a lot of wear and tear from children's activities. Although the legs are sturdy and do not wobble, it is not intended for small children to pull up for cruising (my one-year-old nearly toppled it). The bins also have sturdy lids, which I appreciate. My only gripe, which is minor in my opinion, is that when the bins are lightly loaded, the support rungs can sometimes be lifted off when the lid is removed. It's not a big deal; simply push it down again. Overall, I'd give it a thumbs up.
These sensory bins are fantastic - they're perfect for kids of all ages. I like that it can be adjusted in height, though it isn't as stable on the highest setting. On one side, we have a kinetic sandbox, while on the other, we have crinkly paper and plastic toys. This is ideal for children who have low tone and require some assistance standing to play.
Legs that are swaying a lot. It'll be fine because I'm using it for a teenager. The fact that the height can be adjusted is a plus for me. The legs, on the other hand, aren't very sturdy. I suppose it's not bad for the price.
This past winter, we actually put them up. These water tables/sensory bins have been in my possession for over three years. We use them both inside and out on a regular basis. They've been exposed to all types of weather, have survived a move, and have performed admirably. We actually put them up this winter, and one of them was dropped and cracked while being taken down. I'm not complaining; most things will break if they are dropped 6 feet onto a concrete garage floor. I'm returning to place another order because I'm so pleased with the product.
