Granddaughter loves bugs, so I bought her this set to introduce her to the world of bugs. In addition to fabric paints, I also gave her Mom some paints to decorate the vest. She painted it really well, and I think it turned out great! In honor of my adult child (still gloating).

It is the best explorer kit I have ever used. A new set of cool tools is included. It looks great and our 3 year old has been so eager to play with it. Vest and hat are both nicely made, and the vest is very stylish. She was eager to try all of the items in the kit because they came with so many cool items. As well as being well made, the binoculars are also very sturdy. There are many nice magnifying tools included as well, which is a The kit has been a hit so far with our son, who is 3 years old. Is there a little tool in the shape of a tong that could possibly hold insects? Regardless, I am not quite sure what this tool is intended for, but the pieces on its dome seem to be fragile, so I am not sure we would have used it much. Amazing kit! I love it!.

This one won. After dressing in all the gear, I wandered out in the backyard, flashlight in hand, exploring for what seemed like hours. Unlike most gifts they lose interest in quickly, this one has been put to good use and as a result was kept for many years.

had a lot of fun with this for my son, who is five years old. Despite its shortcomings, the vest is great. The vest is perfect, the accessories are good (the flash light is useful but disposable, but will last until you replace it). Only the hat was a big issue for me. In the advertisement, it says that this vest is for kids 6 or 7, and the vest is sized for that age range. I tried to put the hat on my three-year-old daughter but it didn't fit. There is a pity that this is SOO SMALL since the quality is great. Therefore choose a set that does not contain this, or keep your eye on it.

In my opinion, it is a decent set for the money I spent on it, but it is not that tough. As soon as I took it out of the box, the clear globe shaped bug catcher broke. Gorilla glue, and my grandson had no problems with it after the first minute he had it on. The strap on the binoculars pulled out of the loop that held it in the first minute it was on him. Rethreading it and tying a larger knot were the only things that had to be done. I forgot to mention the set needed some minor repairs along the way, but I would suggest being prepared to make repairs along the way. I give these to my 3 year old grandson every time he plays, especially the whistle and the "nocliars"!.
