This is a well-made item that has been well-thought out. It's great for catching bugs, lizards, etc. and then releasing them after enjoying them for a bit. Much larger than a permanent home, so it's a bit focussed on release once you've enjoyed the creature for It is safe to assume that bugs cannot infest grandma's house as the door slides closed tightly. The gift was nice and different - Candy should be placed in it. We have seen our grandson use it as a purse thanks to the strong handle attached.

I'm blown away! The item actually came in a much smaller size than I had anticipated. It is so much smaller than I had imagined it to be. When we got the item in, we thought we would be receiving something similar to a normal size bug catcher, but it was so much smaller than I imagined it would be. We will be returning this item since my four year old daughter will not be able to reach into it.

My daughter has already caught many butterflies and slipped them inside with ease. The door opens and closes smoothly, and it's a breeze for me to help her. She's caught so many butterflies and has put them in there so far. Her favorite thing to do is to talk to them and look at I am so glad I was able to get.

It's a big hit with them. I am also very satisfied with the quality of this device (it has already been dropped a handful of times) and also with its durability. My only complaint is that it doesn't close completely, so we've had bugs sneak out. They can't get through if they're smaller like lady bugs or fireflies, but they can get through if they're larger. As for my girls, they love it otherwise.

The insects had been rescued from our pool, but may have felt ill having been in there so long. Although the bee climbed all over the wire, he couldn't walk on the ground. They stayed in the house at least. Slugs from all over the world entered through the wire when it was not observed. My child loves the cage and I don't have to worry about the bugs dying from heat as much with a plastic cage, as they wouldn't with a metal one. I'm not sure if I would buy it again, but my child loves it.

She loves to collect bugs and plants in her bug house and spends hours in the backyard looking for them. A few days ago, she caught a large toad as well. It is great to play with this Besides being great for teaching, it's also a really fun tool! My recommendation is that you read this if you have a curious and adventurous little girl.

I bought this for my 3 year old daughter, who has a reputation for dropping things all the time, and it has held up wonderfully regardless of that! As well, she is able to use the sliding door easily. For its price, it is definitely a good purchase.
