A kid who climbs on toys and stands on them will not break it. With the cart, you can store anything from books to toys in 2 removable bins. The hats are worn as hats, and can also be used as peek-a-boos I will also stand in them or on them, and my grandson will as well. A cart that is empty makes a good seat for a little person, and it can hold a standing child. Once that point is reached, it can be pushed both with and without bins. In my first concern, I thought he would slide off the cart when the cart was placed on its side on the floor. Tests indicated that it passed all of them. As he gets older, it's getting harder for him to sit on the bottom of the seat or stand on it like a chariot. He's sure to come up with other creative ways to use.
I've had several other types of grocery carts over the years and they don't hold up until now. As the top of the chair is heavy, I chose this style in hopes that the kids pushing it won't tip it over. It won't crack or push out when the wheels are under pressure. There is nothing light about this cart, and it is very heavy, durable, and stable. My favorite part of it is the music.
Since the axel piece is too big to fit into the slots, the plastic peels off. A new one was on its way to me when I returned it. Then again, it's really popular with my son. At 16 months of age, he is quite small. I'd recommend it to little ones though, because it's a lot of fun! It was easier for me to glue the end caps and the small basket since it had a chip on the bottom.
This cart is extremely difficult to put together. As the slots for the axles are not broad enough, you have to use a hammer to drive them through, peeling plastic the entire time. Also, and this is very important, use the plastic protector every time you hammer to prevent damage to the cap ends. My son was so thrilled with it that I would have returned it to the store if not for this. Our children benefit from the things we do for them.
He sometimes takes boxes containing boxes and sometimes carries balls alone. The perfect activity toy for children that allows them to exercise and have.
I bought it for a Christmas present and it was a hit!.
An axle is missing. We could not use this present because it was a bday present for our son.
It was just what I needed.
