In reality, the openings for the doll's legs are actually on the front, facing the handle where the child would hold in order to push it. In fact, a doll or plush animal could spend time facing the opposite way, too -- In that direction there just aren't any leg holes.

One of the things I was looking for was a small kids shopping cart sturdy enough for my one year old daughter to walk around in. There was only one kind that I could find at my local Walmart, a flimsy, very thin plastic one that I knew would not be safe As I was browsing Amazon, I stumbled upon this one and am SO SATISFYED I did. It has been 8 months since we got this shopping cart, and it still looks and feels During the first week, it helped my daughter learn to walk, so she could wake around the house with the support she needed! (see the pic below). It will be her second birthday soon and still she loves to push it around the house, picking anything and everything up and placing it in it.
There is another great thing about this cart, it is not top heavy at all with the thick plastic bottom, so kids cannot overturn it. There is no need to worry. I also love the quality of plastic since it is very durable and easy to clean (see my photo)! In many years to come, I am confident my daughter will still use this!.
It was disappointing to learn that the product was not up to standard. I had a job as a factory worker when I was younger, so I know how to clean 'flash' off I have failed to make sure my photos are of high quality as you can see from my pictures. There are many things the children will want to hold in their little hands. The fact that this product is passed in such bad condition is unnecessary and negligent. You can see sharp plastic edges in the cut marks you are seeing. Our past and present handling of plastic products has led us to not return the product. All the edges have been cleaned until they are smooth and safe to handle.
Our daughter absolutely loves this cart, and we are happy to have it in our home. In the event you decide to purchase this Little Tikes item, I hope the product arrives in a much better condition than you imagined.
I think this little device is fairly simple to assemble. It took ten minutes or so to assemble Getting the kids to help for 15 minutes. I would say the part of the basket where you would place the food is pretty small to medium in size. There is no way that anything can fall through the bottom, which I like. A stuffed animal or baby doll can fit in the seat, but it's very small. Currently, my daughter can only fit her infant doll in the cart, but the seat is so shallow that she can't sit her 18" doll upright (and unfortunately, these dolls don't move their eyes when they are lying down, so she seems to always be asleep in the cart). There is one caution with this cart I might not use it for children younger than four. There is no noise when it rolls. A child who isn't able to walk well might find it hard to keep up with the pace. In addition, my daughter (5 years old) accidentally tipped the cart part over while pushing a blanket into it. It's very likely that a younger child would have fallen to the floor had she not been able to catch herself before she hit the ground. I just thought you might appreciate that kids fall down sometimes, but I'm not saying that's a bad thing. Although I cannot attest to the durability in the long run since we just put it together, it seems pretty solid so far. Based on the thickness of the base, it does not appear easy to bend. This cart is very well designed, and I am very pleased.
My daughter loved this for Christmas! I got it for her from my wife, and it is just so cute! We wish we had assembled this shopping cart before Christmas morning because she spent the first two days playing with it. It took longer to assemble than we expected (not hard or particularly complicated, just longer), so we wish we had assembled it before Christmas. Although she waited eagerly for us to put it together, she played with it piece by piece until we finally got it done. However, she has spent hours getting in and out of her shopping cart, her children have driven it around, she has put stuffed animals in, and she has tried to get in it a few times. This was a great gift, she will never forget it! She has to keep her big brothers away from it, since they too find it pretty fascinating.
This is a very cute and simple ring for my 3 yr old. The fact that it comes with an attached seat means she can display her dolls whenever she wants.
