My granddaughters will be able to enjoy this book. There was a hope that the "creatures" printed on the lid would also be magnetic. This product is great! Willow is two and a half and absolutely.
Having so many fun options for dressing up her mermaid and her friend is a big hit with my three year old. With the toughness of the wood box and the ease of which my daughter can slide the lid on and off, I am very impressed.
I got this for my niece for Christmas and she loved it.
The grandchildren I have love this, including my 3 year old granddaughter (nearly 4). I have played with it a lot, and I find it very easy, sturdy, and fun to use. I will be purchasing related items within the next few days.
Despite the fact that these Mermaid and Dolphin dress up wooden dolls can still be had at Melissa and Doug, the quality and play value remains the same. The paper dolls made during my era are sort of like these. It's so much easier and more fun to play with these wood and magnetic boards instead. It is easy for toddlers and slightly older children to play with this toy. A toy like this would likely appeal mostly to kids under the age of seven, but even children as young as two years old might enjoy playing with it. For the mermaids, it has different tails, tops and crowns, and for the dolphins, it has matching tails and tops. It takes only a few minutes for the mermaid and dolphin to change their appearance after you place the different wooden items on them. Besides being cute, this is also a fun way to develop fine motor skills and imagination.
The toy was a big hit with my grandma and my three and five-year-old, too. I keep a little box of special toys in the living room that grandma can pull out for playtime with the kids The old girl.
