It would be a great gift for her. Several years ago, I gave these dolls to my 4-year-old daughter. I am 6 years old and my son is 2 years old. An old person. The set is quite nice. Minnie loved it and so did I! My niece, who is 3 years old, is obsessed on Christmas. It's very easy to use for little hands because of the magnets and the wood pieces are of great quality. A variety of pieces makes it easy to mix and match. This was a big hit with my niece. The reason I took away one star is that the box is odd. When you take off the plastic, you can access the bottom to hold the pieces. Since there is no cover, the pieces can easily get lost. I wonder why they would make a toy with so many pieces and not provide a way to store the pieces? How can just a half of a box suffice? The strangest thing ever. Getting this gift for my 2 year old daughter who adores Minnie Mouse was a great choice. My daughter and I both enjoyed it a great deal. We find the pieces to be very durable and feel very solid.
