Selected User Reviews For Melissa & Doug Disney Sleeping Beauty and Snow White Magnetic Dress-Up Wooden Doll Pretend Play Set (40+ pcs)
The quality of this product is the same as those I have experienced with other Melissa and Doug products. All the items are wooden except for the images except for the magnets which seem to hold well. The magnets were made from wooden blocks that had a paper stuck to them. The youngest of my nieces is still too young for this, but got ahold of a piece while her sister was playing with it and chewed it up. If you are concerned about that, and the dozens of tiny accessories, this may not be a good toy for you. It has a tiny tooth mark and some torn image, so if that is a concern, I would pass. I do not see what the two greatest advantages are to this book. First, there is no cover or accessory list to check that you get everything you should. My skirt collection may be missing two pieces, but I cannot say for sure. There is only a mention of "32+ pieces" on the package. It is a lot of traveling for my nieces with this, and the wooden box does not have a lid or cover to keep everything It was imperative to keep each piece intact with plastic wrap. This is definitely not a travel toy, which I found disappointing since it looked so compact. You must leave the tray at home and put all the pieces in a sealable bag to prevent The main reason I gave three stars is because of this.
Seeing that Sleeping Beauty is not available alone in a playset, I ordered one which includes Snow White. She is enjoying making the outfits for both Princesses and making all the cute accessories. As for this play set, my only complaint is that I wish the compartment in which the Princesses lay was wider so more items and accessories can be displayed around them - if they are chosen to wear them lying down rather than The final step would be a clear, secure cover to ensure that pieces are not lost after play.
The reason I cannot understand why a company that makes many amazing toys for all ages of children would make something that has 30+ pieces without any way to contain them is beyond me. It is a joy to see my grandgirls wearing these dresses It's that time of year! Time for beautiful princesses to dress up The lid is missing, but why? Particularly annoying is the fact that Melissa and her friends always seem to get into arguments I want Doug to make another generic mermaid dress - It is a dress-up figurine with a lid that slides into a groove on a box, transforming it into a TRANSPORTABLE toy instantly.
The girls were ages 4 and 5. The one thing I agree with other reviewers is, where's the As a matter of fact, that box is really sturdy, so it would be a shame to throw it away. However, I'll let it slide considering the reasonably priced products these sets are. I love it. ) to carry the pieces in and everything worked out just fine. A 75" wide x 1/2" thick piece of rubber. bags worked well.
The dresses are interchangeable, and it encourages her imagination and so much more at 3 years of age. Furthermore, these things are very cute, they have been stomped on for their own sake, spilled on, and have just been disregarded in general, however, the magnets still hold strong and they have a few stains, but do not chip or peel. We have given them as gifts to family and friends who liked them all.
The princesses and accessories are her current obsessions. Because they do not require much fine motor skills, they are excellent for young children. This also makes me happy because she can do it herself, which is a big deal right now for her. She can dress them herself just as easily as regular dolls, which can be difficult for her to do. They can, however, be difficult to pretend play with, but that may be the only drawback. There is a lot of dressing up involved.
I'm not sure how to describe these to a 3-year-old but she loves them Her favorite place to be is at church and restaurants, where we take them along with us. This is a cute little activity for any princess fan! There is one downside, though, which is that it comes with a nicely made wooden box for storage, but there is no lid attached! You just need to open it. If Melissa and Doug change this design to include a clear lid, I hope it will be a huge hit!.
