The quality of this product is the same as those I have experienced with other Melissa and Doug products. All the items are wooden except for the images except for the magnets which seem to hold well. The magnets were made from wooden blocks that had a paper stuck to them. The youngest of my nieces is still too young for this, but got ahold of a piece while her sister was playing with it and chewed it up. If you are concerned about that, and the dozens of tiny accessories, this may not be a good toy for you. It has a tiny tooth mark and some torn image, so if that is a concern, I would pass. The biggest drawback of this package is that there is no cover or accessory list, so it's impossible to ensure you get every piece you signed up for. My skirt collection may be missing two pieces, but I cannot say for sure. There is only a mention of "32+ pieces" on the package. It is a lot of traveling for my nieces with this, and the wooden box does not have a lid or cover to keep everything.
