This book was ordered for my niece, and when I attempt to select the words on the left, they do not appear. This seems to be normal, or has a defective part been sent?

When I bought this book for my son, he loved it because there were so many words and pictures but unfortunately the book simply wouldn't work. It was impossible to get the left side to work properly and even an adult found it impossible to get the right side to work properly. We never got any use out of this book and it was not cheap. My biggest mistake was not exchanging it instead I thought maybe I could change the battery etc. while that took some time. I hate the fact that the book didn't provide us with any benefit.

Selected User Reviews For VTech Touch and Teach Word Book

For a two year old, it is frustrating, and for an older toddler, it is boring
3/5

A child should not be older than 18 months or 4 years old. In the middle of the verse, the child picked out words that would be perfect for a two-year-old, but it would be overly simplistic for a To use it, however, a toddler must be at least 18 months old. There are instructions in the user's manual that suggest you don't touch a picture with more than one finger. Be careful not to place your hand on the page". To use it, the toddler should open it and place it on a flat surface, must not touch anything except the pictures that interest him, and should do it with adequate but not too much energy, and without resting the finger on the pictures for too long or it won't work. I find this to be very.

I like how this technology works
5/5

A day does not go by without my son grabbing this. In addition to teaching him new words, it helped him improve his grammar. Each of the pages is completely flat, and in order to hear the picture talking, you just have to touch it. Technology of this kind is pretty cool. You will need to learn a lot of words and letters. My favorite feature of this book is the way words are categorized according to their Having a large size is fantastic. When traveling with my children, I always pack this in my hand bag tote. that there's two volume levels, but both are too loud (the higher one especially! There is still no way to bring the softer one to a restaurant because it is still not quiet enough. A plane can be used for this purpose. This would make the people around them uncomfortable. I didn't knock a star off for the volume, however, because I am happy about how well it has taught my son to independently learn words.

This Touch & Teach Word Book from Vtech has been acclaimed as an excellent education tool
5/5

Out of the 4 Vtech toys/laptops we have for our toddler, this is his favorite so far. He enjoys playing with it and keeps coming back to it over and over. A touch sensitive book with 12 extremely detailed and detailed pages uses over 100 words, divided into six categories that children can feel and touch. You can buy food, clothes, toys, go to the park, and visit the zoo from your home. A variety of play models is available, Find It!, What's That Word, Letter Fun, and Music Time. With the "what's that word" mode, pressing three times on the button produces three different descriptions of that word. In the picture of the sofa, for instance, pressing the "Sofa" button for the first time shows On pressing it a second time, the phrase "blue sofa" appears. After pressing it a third time, the message "cozy sofa" appears. You will see "Food keeps me healthy" when you turn to the food page when in the "Letter Fun" mode The word watermelon begins with the letter W when you press the picture of a watermelon The second time you press the picture of watermelon, you will see the letter W. When positioned in the mode of "Find It", the message will read "Let's find something that begins with The picture of broom has the message "Wow, Great Job!" if you press it. Alternatively, the picture of the plate can be pressed instead of the picture of the broom, and it will read this The letter P indicates that the plate begins with a Looking for more will bring you success. Whenever the toddler touches the pages, sounds, music, and words can be heard. In addition to helping toddlers develop fine motor skills and increase their vocabulary with this book, it is fun for them to play with. Here are a few words in the category for Furniture includes a sofa, lamp, vase, rug, a quilt, a rug, a chair, curtains, an oven, a sink, a trash can, a broom, a pot, and a plate. This is a super good investment due to Amazon Prime's great price. I bought it at a local store for After I look at the book, I will update here on how durable it is. My little one has been playing with the pictures for a whole year now, so they are becoming a bit of a non-issue Reactive since I placed new batteries in it. I have not had any problems since I replaced the batteries. Playing with the learning book has so far been a lot of fun for my little one, and he has already learned a lot of words. It is underwhelming
3/5

Another V-shaped nose piercing has been performed on my son A technology book similar to this has been in his possession since he was about 8 months old. Now that he is 17 months old, he plays with it still, so I bought him this one as something new to entertain him during a five-hour flight My son loves books, and points to pictures (and sometimes points my finger at a picture) so I can tell him what it is. I was excited about this toy because he points to pictures and points my finger at a picture. We both found this book to be underwhelming after I taught him how to use it. As a result of constantly pushing on a picture, we both get frustrated because no buttons appear, and sometimes the picture doesn't get updated. My expectation had been that the pages would be difficult, but they aren't These are flexible, like really thick plastic-looking things Can you tell me what coated paper is? The material feels sturdy, but I'm worried they won't last for long with a toddler handling them. It's not uncommon for him to play with this a little. Most of the time, he just flips through the pages by using the slider and changing the modes one at a time. He should be able to press the pictures once he gets used to it. This toy is a good buy for the price, and it's as techy as I like to get with toys for him. In addition, it is small enough to fit in his toy bag for a trip to the babysitter's house, so he has something fun to play with while Despite its features, it is still not what I had expected from it it is not very user-friendly My opinion is that it is friendly. There is a lot of noise! There's absolutely no way I can stand loud music even on the lowest volume setting.

My favorite part of this book is that it is so easy to use along with having great learning activities
4/5

While this book was easy to use and a great learning tool, I got it for my 10 month old and she thought the pages were hard plastic, but they are soft plastic that can be bent and maybe ripped from the book if a young child is rough with it.

This is a great choice
5/5

The program has a wide range of features. This is an incredibly sturdy product. Despite the use (abuse) of an 18 month old boy who is still learning to respect books, it holds up very well.
I would recommend it to anyone who has a small child. Cleaning is quick and easy with a barely damp cloth or antibacterial handy wipe
I would recommend it He loves it and it is one of the best electronic books we have.

I highly recommend this vocabulary and language building app! I highly recommend this book! As a grandmother and speech therapist, I love the pictures and the words are clear and easy to understand A touch and teach word book that I highly recommend to all language pathologists! There are many benefits to this product for the development of children
5/5

There are more words that describe each image in more detail and it teaches individual words and expands the vocabulary. Besides being interactive, this tool teaches categorization, and it also encourages musical creativity. The word book is a great product! My grandchildren, ages one through four, each enjoy it! Another one was purchased and I use it with my students so they can build their vocabulary and language skills.
