Questions & Answers
Without any adhesives, I was able to lay out my 4x8 roll without any problems. Upon laying flat for a few days, the rolls will go flat due to its inherent weight. The adhesive might not be necessary for your project.
In short, yes. Please be warned that it is not a mat, but a sheet of paper. My books have fold marks in them, and there is a green dye left on my hands when I use them.
The mat measures 50 inches wide by 100 inches long, according to the description
By simply measuring 50 inches wide by 100 inches long, it measures 50 inches I use it myself, and I think it's pretty good. I wish I could find some with snow covering.

With my son, we built a 4x4 HO layout. We used old HO trains that have been stored for 30 years, but they haven't been used in a long time. I am 40 years old. Despite being a good substrate, it was disappointing. The problem is that it is impossible to fix. In order to attach it to 4x4 plywood, I tried using spray adhesive (Gorilla, to be precise). When rolled out, however, it would not stay flat because it had been rolled so tightly. The only thing that was working was rolling a piece of pipe that was the width of the small layout over it multiple times. The "memory" of being so tightly rolled still resulted in multiple large pockets pulling upward from the wood because of the tension. After poking holes in the seam with a needle to release trapped air, I attempted to push the seams back down, but the rolled effect still occurred. I also had the problem that my hands looked like Shrek's when I was done, and the backing was nothing more than a thick paper that I could tear with my hands.
Two days later, I was able to remove it. We went to a large fabric/craft store and got two linear yards of felt for a lot less than what this cost. I stapled the felt to our plywood with my staple gun and used Elmer's glue for any loose edges.
Bachman trains green grass mat was ordered for my new 4 X 8 train layout board. It arrived in excellent condition, I unrolled it, let it lay for a couple of days before tacking it to the board. It is strong, lays flat, and looks really good. It is reasonable in price.
In addition to adding color and texture to the display, it works very well. It is a product you can spend several seasons with if handled with care. Although the term 'mat' may be misleading, the concept might not be. Basically, it's a green substance on a heavy piece of paper that's supposed to be placed over some kind of plywood platform and then on top of it, to show model trains and cars. NOT meant to be used on the floor or a rug that does not have I think the product is a good one when used as intended.
The product does exactly what it is advertised to do. The texture is lifelike and appealing to the eye. In the process of restoring an old HO scale train set, I've been targeting Bachmann products. Thank you for providing a wide selection of products that The quality train set you get when you combine Amazon and Bachmann. Quite a bit has been said already. Quite pleased with it.
The world over. It's every time. This is where. I am everywhere. This is particularly true if you chop Get out the vacuum cleaner and start cleaning. The green train mat is no better or worse than any other in terms of manufacturing green grit, which is true of any green train mat product. Following cutting and positioning, the bald patches on this one appear to be fewer and the gluing seems to be better. You'll want to curl it up when you place it, since it comes rolled up. We're not going to end the world over this. One option is tacking it down, tacking it down, spraying it in place, etc. There are several other options you can choose from. I prefer this discount model to authentic discount products because bald patches are not present.
For a Lionel train set, I used it to cover a sheet of 3/4 inch ply wood measuring 4x8 inches. In order to staple the sides of the plywood on, there was enough fabric left to cover the plywood's edges. While installing the material, I would recommend wearing gloves since some of it will come off while installing. It took me a few days to notice any green material coming off, but it didn't fade away. In all, I'm confident I'll use it a few years before its due for a revision.
Green dye causes your hands to turn green and you have to scrub them with a scrub brush in order to remove all the color! Green paper mats are easy to tear and are made from just one piece of paper. Other mats had to be purchased since these had to be scrapped. In other words, I was forced to redo my train layout from scratch. In order to get rid of I wish it were different!.
The roll of this product is a great idea, and I like how much of it there is. Two pieces of plywood 4'x4' were covered with it and my train set was placed on them. I love how easy it is and how gorgeous the result is!.
