Questions & Answers

What makes this one different from the others? Is it true that I saw two at Fisher Price?

My older granddaughter owns the older version, while my younger grandson owns the newer one. The majority of the differences are in the design of the coins. In the previous version, each color has a large and small coin. The mama animal is depicted on both sides of the large coin, while the baby animal is depicted on both sides of the small coin in each matching color. (Can you guess what it's called? Heads and tails.) ) The older version has a switch that allows you to switch from music to counting, but it is not "specifically" designed for smart stages. Regardless of the version, both children adore their piggies.

Is there a French-language version?

I believe it is Amazon. Is it true that com (the US site) allows you to make purchases on sites from other countries? Try www. amazon. ca (website for Canada); There was a French version there that I saw.

Is there an oink from the pig?

Yes, it oinks when you press its nose, and when you press it again, it says, "That's my nose," and when you press it again, it sings a song, and so on.

Is there a place where I can get new coins?

I don't believe so; that would be absurd. You can call Amazon and inquire, but I don't believe so.

THE PERFECT FIRST BIRTHDAY PRESENT! THE PERFECT FIRST BIRTHDAY PRESENT! This was a gift for my daughter's first birthday a few months ago
5/5

She still enjoys it after five weeks. I was astounded that she had everything figured out in less than 24 hours. br>br>Prosbr>* The perfect size for my petite 1 year old while still being large enough for older children. It was also a hit with my 3-year-old niece! br>br>* Is the only thing that keeps my daughter's attention for longer. * Long-lasting! br>br> For more than a month, our pig has been kicked, thrown, and dropped. Even the door is holding up. br>br>* Everything can be operated independently by children of all ages. *Teaches fine motor skills. br>br> *10 coins br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br Because you know some will get lost (and replacement coins can be purchased! ). )br>br>* The coins are heavy and long-lasting. There are no dangers of choking. br>br>* When his nose is pressed, he makes adorable songs and noises. br>br>* Teaches counting to ten in English and Spanish (Spanish can be turned off, but English cannot. )br>br>*Comes with batteries,br>br>*A toy that will keep you entertained for more than a year or two. br>br>* Great Price!br>br>Consbr>br>* I only wish there was a little more time between inserting coins and counting them before it resets. If you wait too long before inserting the next coin, it will count 1 2 3 instead. When you reach number ten, it will reset to one. My daughter, on the other hand, can usually make it to number eight. This is a minor snide remark. br>br>I was so taken with this gift that I purchased another for my 1-year-old niece's birthday. This is definitely going to be my go-to gift for the kids!.

Good for children with special needs and fine motor skills
5/5

So, after five months of deliberation, I finally gave in and purchased this wacky pig. I'm not sure why I didn't get it sooner; it's fantastic. It's nice that I waited so long for the "new" version, even if I'm not sure how much has changed. br>br>My 18-month-old daughter has special needs and is experiencing developmental delays across the board. I saw this recommended on a few websites and blogs as a way to improve fine motor control. After watching my daughter carefully attempt to stuff coins into this pig, I can confidently say that it aids in the development of that skill. My husband and I both said that we would have given up trying to put the coins in if we had known how difficult it was. He said something to the effect of "I would have thrown it across the floor. " Fortunately, my daughter has more perseverance than the two of us and continues to feed the silly pig with those silly little coins. br>br>This pig was on my daughter's Amazon Christmas list for relatives, but no one got it for her, and now that I think about it, I'm not sure she would have been ready at the time. Although I believe a typical one-year-old would understand, my original motivation for purchasing this toy was to aid in the teaching of the concept of "in. " While it will aid in this, children will require adequate fine motor control in order to manipulate the coins. I'm looking forward to seeing how she uses this toy to improve her fine motor skills!.

Oink oink oink oink oink oink o 16- This toy is appropriate for children aged 24 months and up
5/5

It has a good amount of tensile strength. There are ten large colorful coins (numbered 1-10) in this set. Your child can deposit the money in the bank at the top (which has a 10 on one side and an animal on the other). The pig has a total of one. For each coin that is inserted into the slot, you will receive a ten dollar reward. It counts in both English and Spanish on the second level. When the pig's nose is pushed, it sings a song or talks about its nose and tail. The pig says "open/close" when his belly is opened. This is an excellent toy for learning colors, numbers, animals, and eye-hand coordination. Children can do different things with both hands at the same time (hold the pig and put the coin in the top), which is a crucial developmental skill. br>Overall, it was a cheap toy that even my 5-year-old enjoyed.

This pig is adored by all children! This pig is jam-packed with all of the things that babies adore
5/5

It's also jam-packed with educational features. Children enjoy learning about cause and effect, as well as placing coins in the slot. I was taken aback by the fact that my 12-month-old could do it right away. I imagine you'd have to guide their hands with younger babies. As the coins clink into the pig's stomach, the pig begins to count. Because the tummy has a clear door, the baby can see the coins falling inside, so he opens the pig, spills the coins, and starts all over again. again. time after time time after time br>br>The coins are numbered on one side and feature an animal on the other, with two of each color/animal included. Animals, colors, and numbers can be matched and learned with this game. In addition, if you press the pig's noise button, he will oink or sing. The pig has two learning modes (as do all FP smart stages toys), the second of which is more advanced and includes commands as well as Spanish colors and numbers. This pig can be found in daycares, preschools, doctor's offices, and other places, and it's quickly becoming a "classic" baby toy. It's no surprise that children enjoy it so much. My four-year-old son is eager to play with it. And, thanks to the smart stages, there's a lot she can learn from playing with it! (Reinforcing her number identification with the Spanish words) br>br>It's also useful for teaching people how to take turns - Each child is given five coins, one of each color, and they take turns placing one coin at a time into the pig; so far, there have been no squabbles over the pig. It's a fun toy to play with with your friends.

A fantastic OT aid
5/5

This is so cute! It went above and beyond my expectations. I'm an Occupational Therapy Assistant on the go, and I bought this to keep in my toolbox for skills like pincer grasp, fine motor, and visual motor. I really like how the pig's belly holds all of the small coins. I also appreciate the added bonus of a "level 2" that reads the numbers in English before switching to Spanish! It is a very quiet toy, which may be beneficial to some people. It can be difficult to hear in a crowded therapy clinic, but this has no bearing on the toy's functionality in my opinion.

It's cute, but there isn't any music
3/5

This one is equally as adorable as the first. It's actually plumper and rounder than before. It's possible that it's even more adorable. It bothers me that the music option is no longer available. There are two settings: one that counts and another that counts in both English and Spanish. There is no option for it to simply play music and make sounds like the older one did. That would be better for very young babies, in my opinion. However, I have no issues with the way the toy operates.
