Questions & Answers

Is there a way to find out? Does the 300 kit include the same red fan and motor as the 100 kit? Please accept my heartfelt gratitude! ?

yes! My two 8-year-old grandsons were drawn to this kit, and within 24 hours, both had mastered it, having experimented with and built their own complex circuitry. They even came up with some unusual applications for the components. The red fan blade, for example, morphed into a helicopter blade and whirled across the room after being detached from the motor. They followed the rules and quickly adapted to taking turns and encouraging each other with a little organizational control and an introduction from an organized adult. The way they accepted the challenges and commanded the concept of using and controlling the flow of electronic information astounded and delighted me. to put in the effort

Is there a part of this set that is similar to the 100 set? We already have that set, so I'd prefer to get add-ons for the 100 if at all possible. If everything is brand new, purchasing this one may be a good option. Thank you very much for your assistance. ?

Yes, the Elenco Snap Circuits UC-100 can be purchased separately. SC- 30 Upgrade Kit 100 points for SC- 300 - Amazon also sells it.

Is this a toy for children of a specific age group?

The manufacturer of the toy claims that it is suitable for children aged 8 and up. 108yrs. My 8-year-old daughter loved it, so I bought it for her. I wouldn't recommend anyone much younger than that without a lot of adult supervision. The toy itself is simple to put together and take apart, but depending on a child's reading comprehension abilities, reading the instructions can be challenging. Her age also allows her to begin grasping the electronic concepts that can be learned through the use of this makeup kit. However, it would be far too difficult for my six-year-old daughter. I hope this information is useful.

I'd like to buy this for a school, but I'm not sure how to get just the plastic board. ?

You must purchase the entire package.

OMG! The ideal gift for a grandson who also happens to be a ham radio enthusiast! My 5-year-old grandson and I spent hours that night working on one project after another - it was the best present I could imagine
5/5

From the first section, basic lights with switches, alarms with various volumes, and so on. When I arrived to take him to pre-school, he was in a state of shock. I found out he'd gotten his papa up at 6 a. m. to build some more at school. We made an AM radio and a wireless microphone that night after school. Unfortunately, one must dismantle one project in order to construct another. br>br>The organization, color coding, and numbering is fantastic, and it encourages me to put all of the pieces back into their plastic wells before starting the next project. This 76-year-old ham radio operator recalls the days when we dismantled old radios for their components, which took days - weeks - The ARRL handbook or Popular Electronics can be used to build a radio. br>br>I can't say enough about how much I like it! It's fantastic!.

For a 7-year-old, this is an excellent purchase
5/5

Legos piqued his interest, but he needed something more stimulating! I'm a nanny, and I bought this for my 7-year-old son, who is fascinated by robotics. He loves Legos and building things, but I wanted to get him something he could use more than the one time you build a Lego set before it sits around collecting dust. Because this says it's for ages 8 and up, I couldn't decide whether to get this or the junior circuit set, but I'm glad I did! I'm also fresh out of high school, so I've recently used circuit sets in physics class and dreaded them, so I was concerned about whether he'd enjoy this as a toy enough. I'd been completely wrong! We played with this toy for ten hours straight and barely scratched the surface of the 300 projects available! I even genuinely enjoyed all of the projects we built at the age of 19! The instructions for building each of the projects are fairly clear, but I believe reading the paragraphs to understand the science behind each one went a little over his head at the age of 7. He didn't understand the majority of the paragraphs even after reading them. Overall, I believe it was an excellent purchase, and he adored it! This will keep him occupied for quite some time, and with so many options, it will be difficult for him to become bored!.

Gosh - Don't you just despise it when Santa comes early? Is one of your fantastic gift suggestions empty? With our oldest grandson's eighth birthday approaching, I have to say that I think my husband and I enjoy picking out gifts for him that are related to his stated future professions as much as he enjoys receiving them! Those jobs have ranged from Super Hero to his most recent - We were so excited when we found this neat looking kit that would allow him and his father to work on "over 300 exciting projects" together (305, to be exact!) that we brought breakfast over to our son and daughter-in-law on a recent rainy Sunday
4/5

so they wouldn't have to come all the way over to our house - Where do we spend the majority of our time? with the grandkids in the sloppy weather, and afterwards, the boys couldn't wait to show us some of the toys that Santa had brought but that we hadn't seen yet. CAN YOU IMAGINE what one of the oldest was? Yep - Exactly the same thing! br>br>At first, we were disappointed because it appeared that we'd be returning what had appeared to be the ideal gift, but my son assured me that getting another of these sets would only EXPAND his fun and allow him to build more elaborate projects. We knew we'd hit gold with this set when we saw our grandson's excitement and sense of accomplishment as he deftly put together a couple of different contraptions (with a few reminders from Dad). Two different instruction manuals are included (I'll list the individual projects in the last few paragraphs - There are quite a few, so if you don't require that level of detail, just skip it. If you have a budding electrical engineer in your household, we're confident he or she will enjoy this set as much as our grandson (and his father!) did. ) have already done so, and they still have a long way to go in terms of "bonding"! For a child who isn't already engrossed, it isn't very engaging
4/5

This is something I bought for my 9-year-old daughter to try to get her more involved in STEM projects, and it's a little intimidating as a first foray into the field. For a child who isn't already engrossed in this type of activity, it isn't very engaging. The snapboard is amazing, and the pieces are fantastic as well. The projects are intriguing, but, as much as it pains me to admit it, they aren't going to pique the interest of every child.

Fun, educational, and cost-effective - I strongly advise you to buy this book
5/5

This is an excellent toy at an excellent price (I paid $42). As a high school physics teacher, I am frequently dissatisfied with "science toys" in terms of both quality and price, and I rarely purchase them for my children. This toy does exactly what it says on the tin. I'm ecstatic with this toy and can't say enough good things about it. The first two days, my 10-year-old easily spent about 8 hours with this. I was astounded at how much she was learning about circuits while having so much fun (she would occasionally ask me to explain how/why something worked, but she didn't need to know that to play with the toy). I believe that this is the ideal toy for children who enjoy building things (such as Legos). My 7-year-old enjoyed playing with it as well, and she was able to independently follow the instructions. This is a fantastic learning tool. I'm so glad I chose this toy over Little Bits (which are adorable but extremely expensive). I believe it would be beneficial to schools who are considering purchasing these to teach circuits to elementary and middle school students.

This Fantastic Circuits Set is fantastic
5/5

This was a Christmas present for my eight-year-old son. His father and I both served in the Navy as electronics technicians, and I thought it would be a fun way to share some of our knowledge with him. We hadn't had a chance to play with it yet, and I was busy in my office today, but my son came in to show me how he had created a fan circuit by reading the manual while he was in his room playing. It worked perfectly after we installed the batteries and turned off the switch. This is a fantastic one-on-one or group activity kit.
