Questions & Answers

What is the polyphony of this keyboard? What is the most number of notes that can be played at the same time for ?

Under free play, you can play multiple notes at once to make a chord. I played four notes at a time and it sounded fine. It has 15 white keys and 10 black keys and goes from C to C. I don't think this would sound right on a real piano since it's a little tinny.

Is there a limit to the number of recordings this device can store, or what is the storage This recording feature is only for immediate playback, or is it for recording?

You can play it immediately.

In terms of packaging, fuss free packaging is different from standard packaging How is it possible that the difference between the two prices is so huge?

There are some customers who complain that the product packaging is difficult to open and that they want a fuss-free The lowest priced option is usually the best for you if you don't have any trouble opening packages.

Are there batteries or a charger required for this device?

There are batteries in it.

There is a hodgepodge of things It's both a toy and an introduction to music, and neither is good
3/5

What I don't like about the microphone is This causes the pitch to be bent which causes the singer to be out of tune when singing. We can't do business with someone who doesn't respect us. In order for it to earn musical skill and be fun, that feature needs to be turned off by default and likely My goal is to find a way to disable the microphone so that it's A number of other features are passable to pretty good, such as Then continue reading The light up keys are overused so when my toddler tries to follow along, the concept is lost in the mental fatigue of having watched the keys flash randomly in other modes. There are too many tracks in songs, so that the simple melody and harmony are buried beneath all the noise. I find it to be very tinny - Too much emphasis on recording and playing back, how about a two-button switch An old man should know to hit the record, do some actions, and then hit play to hear back what he did. Despite the fact that the buttons are placed in a distracting manner, made it harder for younger users to utilize the feature
- While the tempo slider is either flaky or only works with certain modes, I have yet to figure out when it should work

With a few improvements this piano could blend fun and music learning, but it fails so badly that it is merely While this game is entertaining at best, it ultimately undermines the notion that music skills can be taught, due to its excessive and counterproductive features.

This is not a very durable material
3/5

Beware of falling into the trap of buying a home! I had to try three times before I got one that worked. Even though Amazon was great about replacing the defective units, I was concerned when two of them were defective. The first had an electrical problem, and the second was a mic problem. There is no sound in the second video. I have a third one which works great and my daughter enjoys playing with

Revised from a 3 star rating to a 1 star rating The third unit lasted for less than 6 weeks before it gave up the ghost. You can not return it to Amazon or get VTech to replace it since it is a "legacy" item they don't produce anymore. In addition to sending us another toy of comparable value, VTech also sent us a high-quality product that we are disappointed with.

I stopped using the microphone after a couple of It is so much fun to play with that I wish there was a way for me to give this item 5 stars

When I was a kid, I would have loved this because I learned the songs by watching the keys light up while the music played. As well, there are a lot of effects to choose from to create your own tune. The fact that it doesn't take up much space is also a plus If you wish to store it, you can put it in a basket or My kids' favorite part of the toy broke after a few months. I'm very sorry about that. Your voice is no longer distorted and your recordings are no longer recorded by the microphone. The keyboard is no longer played at all, which is a disappointment.

It is always best to give a gift to another This product offers so many options that a kid can have a blast while they are playing their It's a great gift for the musical conductor who can enjoy hours of entertainment, while the listeners experience unceasing torture
5/5

In my opinion, this is the most innovative keyboard creation I have ever If you hold a grudge against someone who ate all your cheese at the last party or who ate all your cheese at a party as a kid, this would be a great passive aggressive gift for them.

A great toy for children Adults are less likely to drink alcohol
4/5

Towards the end of the year, I bought it for my niece (3 yrs old). Her ears are the only ones that will benefit, everyone else is less thrilled. It has a lot of options the colors are very appealing It seems that the device will last for a long time. I have no doubt that it was one of the most played with toys on Christmas Day and for many days following. The older kids were actually interested in the toy of the little ones for a change The adults also showed interest. But be forewarned in addition to the normal bad keyboarding you'll hear, the worst feature was the choice of music The modulator modifies the sound of a voice. The coolest thing ever for kids, but the most annoying thing ever In either case it would become super high pitched or super low pitched (and, to be honest, a bit creepy). This feature, which was a favorite of the kids, made the adults grit their teeth in disgust. As annoying as it is, I am not sure how to overstate its importance. My nieces loved the toy - it was probably one of the most accurate toys I've purchased for them. Don't forget to be aware.

There was a problem with the microphone
3/5

All of a sudden the microphone stopped working on this toy my son loved. I am very sad for him as he loved to sing and record himself. Even after switching out the batteries I still hadn't succeeded in resolving the problem. really would appreciate it if the company could fix it for us since I no longer have the option to return it.

The first thing I thought of when I saw it was that it was cute considering that he already has drums, let alone tries to play mine and my guitars and keyboard
5/5

Since I own my own recording studio and play all the instruments, it stands to reason that I want my son to grow up to be the same. I bought it because I thought it would be cute given that he already has drums, let alone tries to play my guitars and keyboard, so I thought it would be fun to add I realized after receiving this item and playing with it for myself that it was so much more than I had initially thought. Recording a mix where you sing along and record your vocals even allows you to change the vocals' pitch to Music player, DJ, drums keyboard. It has guitar sounds, dj drums, and a keyboard. It has multiple sounds like drums, violin, guitar, orchestra, midi, etc, and there are about 20 songs to learn that you can record. These songs range from rock, techno, seasonal, jazz, country, and pop. If your child is into music, this is the ultimate toy/musician training tool for him or her. Only thing I would consider is adding an output cable, so I could record my youngster. I think this is a great value at $19. Vtech scored a home run here. My son loves it so much that I bought it for him.

I love it
5/5

My 4 year old son loves this and I bought it for him A recording on an iPad is one of his favorite hobbies. He sings nonstop. I like this one so much more. In spite of all the different music and sounds, he was easily able to figure it out on his own. It's fun for him to play real songs by following the light up keys. As well as my 10 and 15 year old children who use it whenever they can. I found it to be neither annoying nor bothersome. A great toy for learning music, instruments, beats and rhythms while allowing you to record and play back recordings. This is a great deal, so don't hesitate to grab it.
