It can be used for either scale, as the adapters are the same in Unitrack for both HO and N.

I've had good experiences with Kato products! Using this Kato Terminal Adapter Cord and the Kato DC Converter, I was able to use any non-Kato device with my laptop A Bachmann train controller is used to run a Kato Model 22 My N scale train layout is going to have sound effects thanks to the 101 Sound Box
