I be able to operate a fourth locomotive with this?

As a newbie to digital control (DCC), I need your help. Each engine (except one) needs a decoder chip and a distinct number, as far as I understand. In order to program the unique number to the chip, the DCC console must be used. After that, you can enter the same ID into a hand-held throttle and have full control of the engine. The engine can then repeat the last command until instructed to do otherwise, or you can change the ID in the throttle to control any other engine My club has a 2 1/2 by 4-foot module with one of these built into it for each of its members. DGTUPS panels are available so that each member can control the engine of their choice by plugging into any one of them. In this way, members can walk around and control their engines on a 12 x 24 foot combined layout while keeping an eye on them.
A review of DGTUPS are not needed for layouts with only two or three throttles and with multiple engines, given that you only have to supply additional power. I can't believe it, Sweet! The ease at which I added this to my system and just how much I would enjoy it were both surprises for me! A LOCONET cable (not included) must be connected to the panel, and a connection to both tracks (optional) must be made

I only made one mistake by not ordering more so I could put them around the layout. Use the A track only if you really need to The LED will illuminate on the panel when power is applied to the track. In order to play with a tethered controller, you need to have this.

This kit is not powered by a power supply

It works out of the box without any problems. In order to light the power indicators, two screws should be connected. It also requires a power supply, which is sold separately (which is why I did not give it five.

Installation is as simple as plugging things in

We got the expected results from the UP5. Consequently, I was able to add additional control options to my layout, which has grown to fill a 23' x 12' I also enjoy the ability to let my grandkids operate their trains with the Digitrax Utility controls.
