What is the status of the headlight?

Unfortunately, the headlight does not work, but for a small runner it is very good. Overall, I am pleased with the result.

This seems to be just the train, but does it come with a track as well?

The only thing on the N scale engine is the track. There is also an option to buy it as a train set with coaches. Thomas is on his own in this situation.

It is highly likely that he will be able to pull many cars without any issues. Despite Thomas' small size, he is the best engine for starting an N scale Thomas line! Sodor's #1 is the perfect engine to start with if you are starting an N scale Thomas line!.
