Is this something that would work on a Bachmann track?

Bachman's track isn't the best, but it's also not the worst; you'd be better off sticking with Kato the whole way through.

do you have any sound equipment?

It's compatible with DC. As a result, it's only DC out of the box. The ESU Loksound 5 sound decoder, model 58741, was installed. Decoder is fantastic. Engine is fantastic.

The model is n-. It's about 6 inches long due to the scale.

These Kato locomotives are still constructed to the highest standards. They still have metal bodies, which is why they are so smooth to operate.
