The upper portion of the second car glows blue and flashes. The engine has a front light, as does the caboose. The lights on the third and fourth cars are turned off.

With a little bit of care, these can last a lifetime. This is an authentic Lionel train set, with features that bring it into the twenty-first century! Don't waste your money on the $89 set because it's made of battery-operated plastic.
