I used HO scale with it. Despite the fact that I had both O and G scale trains at the time, I only used them on my HO layout. Jerry
Hello, my name is Carlos, and I'll answer your question. To activate the locomotive, press the address 2 button, for example. The red LED next to address 2 will light up, and the locomotive on address 1 will continue to run at its previous speed and direction setting (this is known as "running in background").br>Now, to activate locomotive 2, simply turn the controller knob slightly, and this locomotive 2 will be activated, and you can determine its speed and direction settings independently of locomotive 1. br>In addition, you can program the functions; for example, if locomotive 1 is moving forward and you want locomotive 2 to move backward, you can program the function to make locomotive 2 move backward, and you can also purchase the accessory "Bachmann DC controller," which you can connect or install with your E-Model. Control Center for the Z Command br>Before I forget, the 10th function converts from its original DC (analog) assignment to DCC (digital), after which it becomes available, and the connected DC controller allows you to control DC locomotives in conjunction with your E-Model. The Z Command system is a command and control system.
NOTE: The supplied 1AMP transformer can run two locomotives at once; however, operation of more than two locomotives PER E-Z-GO is not recommended. The Z COMMAND CONTROLLER may have an impact on their performance and may necessitate additional power.
This controller can be used to sound the horn and bell. It is one of many DCC controllers that can be used.

On my 8' x 10' Christmas train layout, I use three EZ Command controllers, as well as a Bachmann auto reverse set to control a shuttle. They do a good job, and they allow me to use DC equipment instead of DCC when necessary. I wouldn't use sectional track if my railroad was going to be up all year, but since it's only up for Christmas, E Z track and EZ Command controllers are a good choice.
We haven't had any issues with this unit. Looking up information about the unit's operation on UTube has been extremely beneficial. We can run two DCC engines and one DC engine. The unit has exceeded my expectations.
br>The device introduced me to the DCC world in a very simple manner. There were no complicated commands to learn, and there was no large manual to read. Easy to use and effective! br>At the moment, I can control three different locos (all of which are DCC ready) in one railroad, with total control over each loco's speed, lights, and everything else you can control. The separated power issue isn't an issue because the entire railroad is powered by a single power source, which is the device; all you have to do is select which loco you want to manage using numbers from 1 to 9, and you're done. br>It's highly recommended! br>br>daniel daniel daniel daniel daniel d.
I can't give an honest review right now because I won't be using it for a long time, but the short test I did right out of the box with a locomotive on a 4 foot piece of straight track was very positive.
It is a good deal. N Scale trains are what I use it for. I'm going to sell my N Scale and go back to HO because the sounds on the N Scale are so low (unless I use special 'not in the locomotive items'), you can barely hear them. DCC trains are what I use it for. I'd buy it again because it's a good price, it's easy to set up, and it looks nice.
It's adequate for getting you started in DCC, but it's severely restricted. This is more of a beginner Digital Commander if you plan to build a DCC, layout, and are serious about it. You'll need to factory reset your locos now and then, and this doesn't have the capability to do so.
It was fine; I had to buy it at the last minute because the one I had previously stopped working just before Christmas.
