Questions & Answers
A wireless and/or tethered throttle is available in the DT602. DT602 comes with a loconet tether that can be removed from the throttle system if wireless is being used. Wireless IR is the only connection available with the DT602. You will need to look for the DT602d if you want duplex wireless communication.
We found it to work well with the layout we have.
Selected User Reviews For Digitrax DT602 Advanced Super Throttle
Double throttle for digitax DCC - very nice for model trains! The Zephyr DCS52 is being used as a control unit for a small HO layout, and it works perfectly. The screen is the same as that on the DCS52 and can control two trains at a time. miss having the brake lever for switching work, but it also has a few extra features. )
You just touch the left or right throttle knob to automatically control the loco assigned to that knob. As I have noticed in reviews elsewhere, some users complain that the screen goes blank too quickly for their taste - We recommend you turn off the computer as soon as possible to conserve energy. It does not require batteries for this version of the throttle, and you can disable the battery save feature if you wish. Option 18 can be set to zero in the options editor so the display never goes blank until you power it (With the DT602D you can go wireless, but you would also need batteries in that case. I believe option18=0 still works in that case. Keep a few rechargeable batteries in your pocket!.
