This is the second time I've ordered these stamps. None of them have the word "forever" crossed out. They're forever stamps; perhaps the word is crossed out in the image to prevent copying?
Because the post office no longer issues these stamps, we must purchase them on the secondary market for a higher price.
No, these are extremely rare stamps with only a small number available.
I didn't pay that much, but it's an exorbitant price for a popular stamp that has been discontinued!

This was by far the worst purchase I've ever made. I work as a packer at Amazon and have previously sent stamps. They are protected from damage by being packaged in a thin white cardboard flat. So I figured, why not buy one sheet of stamps per month for the next few months to avoid the 20-minute drive to the post office? I considered purchasing a large quantity at once, but decided that purchasing them in smaller increments would be more cost-effective; I'm glad I only purchased one sheet. They arrived bent and completely destroyed in a flimsy plastic bag. Out of a total of 20, we were able to save about 5 stamps. They're also "non-returnable," which I didn't realize when I bought them. It was my fault, but I will not purchase again and would never recommend it to a friend.
These stamps were no longer available from the United States Postal Service, so I bought them. They're from com, and they're a perfect match for my wedding invites. The stamps themselves are quite lovely, but the packaging is appalling. I'm not sure I'll be able to use one sheet of stamps for the invitations, but I'll use them for bills and other things because there's no cardboard or support to keep the stamps from wrinkling. I'd return if these didn't perfectly match my invitations and if my invitations weren't going out in the next few weeks. The stamps themselves are of good quality, but there is no packaging to protect the stamp from crease lines during shipping, and when you open the package, there is only the sheet of stamp inside the bag, with no cardbroad backing!.
I felt awful about throwing away all of the packaging, but the stamps themselves were lovely. For a sheet of stamps, I believe an envelope would have sufficed.
