The stamp features a photograph of John Lennon with messy hair and his signature round-rimmed glasses, taken by noted photographer Bob Gruen for his fifth post-Beatles solo album "Walls and Bridges" in 1974.

For Collectors, each item is carefully packaged between two sheets of chipboard.

The sheet depicts the original in a rainbow of prismatic colors and is signed by John Lennon.

The stamps are really cool. He was a stamp collector, according to what I've heard, and I think he would have enjoyed these. He's been missed.

The package was damaged when it arrived

This was purchased to replace others in my collection that had to be replaced. I used the rest and went to the post office to get the ones I needed to replace my collection because they were so bent. I really like these stamps, but I'm not sure why they put some stock paper in there to keep them from getting bent.

The image that appeared on Amazon was a lovely muted likeness of John Lennon, but when they arrived, the image had been splattered with psychedelic paints. I was hoping for a true resemblance.
