Before I ordered this body, I read every review I could find on Amazon. Before I gave it a try, I read every review, both positive and negative. br>br>The body comes unpainted and raw right off the sprues, but it's well packaged and has a fantastic overall finish. Sprues with light buckets/lenses and scale details such as door handles/mirrors, etc. Sprue clip locations are mostly hidden once attached, so only minor sanding and flash removal was required. br>br>I've seen a lot of complaints about how fragile the windows are, which may be true depending on how they're attached to the body, but the windows themselves are thick and made of some kind of clear acrylic. If you were to completely break one of these windows, you'd be in a crash where the windows would be the least of your concerns. They're not clear lexan that bends, but they're scale realism replicas that are thick. Paint/stainability and clarity are both excellent. br>br>The main body: I'd give the body a 9/10 for realism; it has an older style grill and some heat ducts in the hood that don't appeal to me, but it still looks great; there are some lines in the roof that appear to have been made from a recycled die, but again, it still looks great. Overall, it looks fantastic. br>br>The light buckets and lenses included in the body are incredible, and there are plenty of mounting holes for 3/5mm LEDs from any RC hobby store/universal 5-pin connector. 12v LEDs. Body mounts: br>br>Body mounts: br>br>Body mounts: br>br> Although the body I ordered stated that it was compatible with the SCX10, I was mounting it on an SCX10 ii Cherokee edition. I did not use the included bumper because the factory bumper on the SCX10 ii was an exact match to my real life Jeep bumper, so I had to fab up a custom rear mount, but the front fit perfectly and the rear would have if I had just used the included factory bumper. br>br>My only complaint was the fender flares; they look great, but the fact that they are rubber rather than plastic means that if you don't want blacked out fender flares, you'll have to do a lot of prep work to get paint to stick. The color: br>br> Would you like to paint it? Treat it as if you were painting a car. Take your time with the prep sanding, then get some Tamiya fine surface primer, let it dry, and wet sand. Use automotive grade spray cans from any parts store/taniya paint, and clear coat for the love of all things RC. Increases the paint's durability by a factor of 1000. Finally, unless you want to show off the interior, get some peelable headlight/taillight tint and spray the inside of the windows. Which is fine, but in my opinion, is the only part that is lacking. Overall, this is one of the better solid RC bodies available, and I strongly suggest this manufacturer.

This kit has left me very impressed. It was precisely what I had been searching for. My only warning is that if you have never built a styrene model before, you may run into some difficulties. I've read some of the other reviews, and while I don't agree with all of them, I believe they lacked this element. Aside from that, it was a breeze to put together. The parts that needed gluing were adhered with ShooGoo. I've been using this stuff in my R/C hobby and regular modeling for years. It has a strong tackiness, dries clear, and retains some flexibility. It also acts as a kind of welder for the plastic. I didn't need any additional hardware, and the mounts fit my original SCX10 perfectly. I really like how the scale looks, and the light holes were just right; it took about an hour to put together and about half a day to paint. Prior to painting, I completed the entire assembly. The different sections were simply masked off. I'm going to purchase the Comanche for a different project, and I'm very excited about it. Please see the photos in the attachment. With that in mind, this pro isn't the best choice for hardcore crawling; unless you're not too concerned, stick with lexan for the big rocks.

This body kit is almost perfect: it's simple to put together, has all of the necessary hardware, and everything fits perfectly. This body looks great on a TRX4 chassis kit (had to trim the inner fenders on the TRX4). I had to shave off a few molding lines, and the "interior" isn't great, but the rest of the details are fantastic.

I bought it with only a smidgeon of hope. It turned out to be a lot nicer than I expected. The body pieces are well-formed and have more even surfaces than some of the other bodies I've seen. The finishing work was straightforward, requiring only a light sanding. br>br>The sprue was cleanly cut off by the manufacturer, and the body only required minor trimming in those areas; I could have gotten away with not cleaning it up at all if I had wanted to. All of the body panels were true and straight, and the body fit together far better than I had anticipated. I would have preferred a better assembly design, but I can't really complain because the screws appear to be of good quality, and the panels are flat enough at the seams that a dab of CA glue should keep things together. br>br>The clear pieces are clear, which may seem insignificant, but it is crucial. They were well-formed and not burned on a clean mold. br>br>The two drawbacks are minor but significant. The stock mounting system is a shambles. I had no intention of using it, but it's worth mentioning for those who do. It'll do the job, but it won't blow you away. Second, it isn't an xj roof. It looks like it came from a JK or another hard body. For me, it's not a deal breaker because it comes with a roof rack, but it may be for others. You can make or buy a roof rack, or you can do what I did and make one yourself. I've seen better bodies in the past. br>br>Overall, I've seen better bodies in the past. This isn't the case, at least not at this price. You can't go wrong with this kit if you're interested in trying out the hard body look. Simply take your time to complete it.

but. After receiving this model, I noticed that it does not come with the stock Jeep front bumper, as the Xtra Speed kit does; In addition, they are put together in a very different way. While I was applying masking tape, the windshield lost a mounting peg and the corner chipped off; As a result, it's extremely fragile, and I'm concerned about the body's structural integrity when it rolls. Because I haven't mounted or driven it yet, I can't say for sure how long it will last.

- Because the body mount that came with the package did not fit my axial scx 10ii, I retrofitted magnets to the body post, as you can see in the back photo. br>br>I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a hard body for their rc!.
