What is the material used to construct the bumper?

It's made of plastic, but it's a special blend that's not as brittle as the stock ones.

Is the hardware for mounting this bumper on a Traxxas Slash included? Thank you for any suggestions you may have. ?

It includes the screws needed to attach it to your existing bumper mount.

Is this something that would work on a 2WD Stampede?

Yes, but you'll also need the "RPM Rear Bumper or Wheelie Bar Mount Electric 2WD Slash, Rustler, Stampede, and Bandit, Blue" (as well as other colors). The bumper is attached to the mount after it has been installed. They operate in a very efficient manner. Two of them were set up. P2de has one for each of my children. There are also wheelie bar wheels that can be attached to this if desired. Thank you for your interest.

I'm not sure how much of an effect it will have

It looks great, but I'm not sure how it's superior to the stock Traxxas rear bumper, which appears to have more collapsible joints and reinforcement. br>br>This RPM bumper connects to the RPM rear mount with four screws, which isn't a lot of screws when you think about it. Is the fact that this bumper is vertical making it more impact resistant? The stock Traxxas bumper isn't quite vertical, and it's a little slant. Only time will tell if this is true.
