Without a doubt, no. Those would be able to fit into the X-ray machine. Maxx is a shock. 7764 is the number you're looking for.
Although there is a cap on the bottom of the shocks, it is not made of aluminum. The cap is only there to keep the seals in place and should not be popped off under any circumstances. Search for part 3767 if you require it. Maybe you're referring to the shock shaft's spring retainer at the very bottom. 3768, to be exact.

When these shock caps arrived, I thought they looked great and had high hopes that they would solve all of my problems with the stock plastic ones popping off, but I was disappointed when I kept noticing them being cross threaded on the shock until I noticed the front shock tower was bending and allowing the cap to get sideways on the shock body. Some may argue that this is a problem with the shock tower, but I still believe the aluminum caps should be able to withstand impacts without the need to upgrade other parts first. This problem became worse when one of the front caps kept popping off in the same way the stock ones did until it would only last one jump and the threads on the shock body were all marred up; I temporarily fixed this by supergluing the plastic cap back on to it, which works and it doesn't. The issue appears to be that the aluminum caps do not have a ball joint where they connect to the shock tower, allowing the cap to twist off when the shock tower flexes. This is such a stupid design flaw that I will most likely have to get the full aluminum gtr shocks in the future, which I realize I should've done in the first place instead of spending so much money on these things. DO NOT BUY THESE IF YOU WANT TO BASH HARD! Just do something completely different, perhaps aftermarket.
Both the product description and the sticker on the back of the package state that this is a slash Ultimate part that fits the slash Ultimate. br>THIS IS NOT TRUEbr>br>These shocks are about half the diameter of the stock slash ultimate shocks (GTR shocks) and are not a direct fit for the slash ultimate unless you have downgraded your shocks from stock to the thinner, weaker shocks that come with the less expensive slash models. br>br>I'm sure the caps are fine for whatever shocks they do fit, but due to the seriousness of the mislabeling, these must be given a one-star rating.
The standard plastic caps are unable to withstand repeated large air jumps. br>br>These caps come in a nice package with cap head screws and washers. The cap head screws that come with the kit have a size of 2. This is a common 5mm allen head bit. Compared to the stupid plastic spacers that Traxxas includes with the big bore shocks, these are a much better solution. br>br>Overall, these are very well made and provide a cost-effective way to improve the durability of your rig while also adding some nice eye candy.
Shock caps popping off after a hard landing is very common on Traxxas slash. It happened to me, so I looked up some ideas on YouTube. Fill shock with 40-weight shock oil, install aluminum caps, and it works great, handles better, and I haven't popped any more shock caps off yet.
Upgrade is simple and quick. Much better than the stock shock caps, which are made of plastic. I haven't yet installed the blue traxxas brand aluminum caps, but I've had the pink traxxas brand aluminum caps (same item, different color) for quite some time. A must-have for any Traxxas vehicle, this kit transforms the stock shocks into a fantastic set of shocks. When installing the new caps, don't forget to top off or replace your shock oil.
When purchasing a Traxxas Slash, I read that the plastic shock caps should be upgraded as soon as possible. So I waited and discovered for myself when I blew off two of the caps. When this happened, I wasn't jumping very high or doing anything crazy with it, but I was expecting it. I ordered the aluminum caps and installed them with some fresh silicone oil, and everything seems to be working fine so far. My Fox edition body looks great with the blue anodized aluminum.
They are, in fact, my only upgrades to date. So far, there have been no issues.
To replace the crappy plastic caps on my wife's Stampede, I bought these. They work and look good, but I believe that all versions of the vehicle, whether low-end or high-end, should have aluminum shocks and caps. I believe the price could be reduced, but if you buy a brand name, you should expect to pay a brand name price. Except for the desire to nitpick, there are no real complaints. Good luck with your hauling!.
