Yes, with the zipper opening, charging in this lipo charging bag would be a breeze. The zipper will be opened about half an inch, just long enough for the wires to reach the charger.
The batteries will not overheat if everything is in order. If something goes wrong with the batteries, they can catch fire, explode, or become extremely hot, almost too hot to touch, at which point the bags do their job, confining any problems to within the bag.

Placing the flaps on top of the batteries will allow the battery to be fully encased while it is charging.

My house and my family were saved because of this bag.
I wish I could give this product five stars in every category, but it is difficult to do so. To know for sure, I'd have to test it, and I'm hoping I'll never find out whether it works or not. Having said that, it appears to be well-made. The seams are well-sewn and appear to be strong. The zipper and flap in the front are definitely convenient. I wish there was a company that made side flaps for the zipper as well. More coverage equals a sense of security for the customer, which is the only reason to purchase a product like this.

As others have pointed out, everyone who buys something like this hopes to never find out. br>br>I bought one of these to hold my trickle charger and another to hold its extension cord; most of these items are also described as water-resistant in some way. I also needed something that was water resistant for this project, so I wouldn't have to worry about the unit inside getting damp from the floor. br>br>This is one of the larger products of its type, and I also needed more storage space. br>br>For these reasons, I purchased this item twice, hoping that I would never need it to perform its primary function.
It was well-made and simple to open and close, which I appreciated. The velcro flap that closes over the zipper adds an extra layer of protection, which I appreciate. It also came with two extra paper labels that could be stuffed into the front pocket. Because the order came with two bags, I labeled one of the extra tags charged and/or discharge so I can keep track of all the batteries I bring to the field.
I used to keep my lipos in just the can, and I was never sure how safe that was. These were discovered and fit perfectly inside my ammo cans in terms of width and height, with about a quarter inch to spare on the length. I tried to fit all of the lipo's I usually bring in there, but there was only enough room for the bare can, but that's fine because you get two and I have extra cans.
Large size, nice handle, and appears to be well-made, though the material is a little thinner than other bags I own; I also like that it zips shut instead of just folding over flaps. I can fit six batteries in there, along with my controller, just to get where I'm going.
