This isn't related to a kid, it's something I bought for my wife and myself to do while watching TV. It's pretty quiet even while flying, and it's quite heavy-duty. So far, it hasn't broken even when I've crashed it several times. A plane like this cannot be flown outdoors when the wind is blowing. The AirHog I purchased was thin and flimsy, but worse of all, it just spun around in circles even when I turned the trim wheel all the way to the right.
